We stayed on the farm in one off the suites with our little 4 legged child who was made most welcome. We had breakfast at Cafe Bonbon and dinner. For breakfast, the service was good but could be better the food was good the setting beautiful. What I felt needed improvement ... a) we got to breakfast at 9.45 ish... More

If you are traveling South Africa's wine country this is an ABSOLUTE must visit meal and wine destination. What incredible food and in such a gorgeous setting! The lunch here was superb. We started off with bread rolls befitting a French bakery. All the starters (Shirazi salad, Goats Cheese salad, Crispy Squid, Duck Salad) were marvelous. The mains included Beef... More

I felt very lucky to have found a free table near Capetown for Easter lunch. It was a delightful drive towards Franschhoek (which , duh, means "French Corner") with beautifully manicured wineries and estates along the road. We entered the La Dauphine estate and I was astonished - I spend most Easters in the Luberon in Provence and for a... More

Cafe Bon Bon at La Petite Dauphine is a beautiful place...from the friendly gentleman called Isaac who welcomes you when you enter, to driving through the vines and fruit trees - one immediately feels at home. The food is heavenly, I had the English breakfast and my friend had the French crepe - all the food is organic and most... More

We enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Bon Bon situated just outside the charming village of Franschhoek. The restaurant provides imaginative cuisine with beautifully presented dishes, and also offers a quality children's menu, with lovely areas for children to run and play. The service was very good, and we can highly recommend the restaurant as a great experience.

We stopped at La Petite Dauphine to have lunch today. It was the most wonderful experience. We were seated under beautiful trees with the sun shining on the lovely autumn leaves. The menu is a selection of the most amazing dishes. We had quite a few special requests, and our waiter Vivian delivered each of those with a smile. Highly... More

Our second visit surpassed the first. After an initial misunderstanding regarding our booking, the staff couldn't do enough to assist and take care of us. The food was, again, excellent, the service wonderful and Arthur and Vivian took great care of us. Highly recommended for couples, groups, people with children (we had our grandson with us) and even animals!

We went there with a couple we're friends with for brunch. The experience was amazing, from the scenery, to the location, to the service and food. Loved everything. French toasts were amazing and the coffee was so good I had 2. Would highly recommend and would also like to try for dinner/lunch one day.

We ate here on a recommendation from friends and were not disappointed. The restaurant is on a wine farm just a five minutes drive from Franschhoek. The restaurant is not a modern venue but a traditional dining room in a rustic barn style building with a high ceiling. There was a superb Italian pianist playing all evening which created a... It is always a pity, when you have a beautiful location but a very bad service. I don't understand why restaurants like these hire people for service that are obviously very annoyed by their job - it really makes the whole experience bad. We went there for breakfast and ordered a la menu - the waitress obviously did not know... More
