Lovely old hotel, on the way to or from the Cape itself from Cape Town. Wide veranda looking out to the bay. We were told it had "the best calamari in the Cape", and it was indeed excellent quality. I didn't eat enough elsewhere to...More

Had an excellent dinner with family and friends at the Chapmans Peak Hotel. The hotel was only just finished some behind the scenes renovations and was a 'soft opening' but the food was fantastic, the service great and overall experience is one to recommend. The...More

For a simple meal in nostalgic surroundings with a view to die for, Chapman's Peak Hotel is great. A hearty meal of simple Cape cuisine, followed by a refreshing walk on the beach and the afternoon was perfect. Thanks guys!

We visited Chapman's Peak indoor restaurant on a cold wet Sat afternoon for lunch. We were placed at a cosy table for 2 next to a roaring log fire. The ambience was great and the service attentive. The food however was disappointing. We both had...More

You'll be hard pressed to find a better spot for great food, great setting and great service. A truly delightful spot for great food, sundowners or lunch in the sunshine with a view of the beach, once you've (or rather your children) have outgrown the...More

A great place to stop at the beginning (or end) of your Chapman's Peak drive. I have wrestled with beef and reef at various locations around the globe and this was hands down the best example I have ever seen. You must try it. Friendly...More

I would say not before 10:30 pm the earliest especially since the sun only sets around 8:30pm in Cape Town at the moment.

Hi, it's probably online but to my mind it is medium price range with seafood, steak and Portuguese specialities. Hope you enjoy.

The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains. Calamari at the Chapmans Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town".It’s the ideal location for those lingering sunsets and balmy evenings. A sun-drenched verandah boasting spectacular views of the bay offers an alternative eating venue for those wishing to dine Al fresco. And in those winter months, it’s one of few places in the Cape with fireplaces (dating back 100yrs)
