Fairly large restaurant that has kept the interior and menu for a long time. Good seafood and a cosy pub/boat feeling to it. I had the fish and chips which was nice. Some good craft beer too. Can recommend.

I went expecting reasonable food but I feel the fish could have been better. While this was fresh there was a very slight rancid taste. Usually, this comes from oil that has been overheated and/or overused. The calamari was better and the chips where average. The price was higher than other places but being a tourist venue, summer and mid-day... More

This place is abt 20mins drive from Cape Town but worth the drive. The food is excellent and if you have possibility sit on the second floor terracce. The feeling is relaxed and one can come in easy summer outfit. The best portion is the soooooo big oysters. Just go for it.

We've been going to Mariner's Wharf for ever - it opened in 1974! It hasn't changed a scrap. The menu is the same, the ship-centred decor is the same, the fish wine bottle is the same, the cooking and service standards are the same etc. This is not "fine dining" but "fun dining." Where one sits is weather-dependent. If the... More

This is an ideal spot to visit for fish and chips. A generous portion of fish and freshly fried chips will only cost you R70.00. Enough there to be shared by two. Service is friendly and fast. You will ask, "now where does the chirps come into the story". Well, walking on the jetty and between the local fishing factories... More

A trip to the western Cape is never complete without visiting hout bay for lekker fish and chips. Tradition is snoek with chips and since I'm not a fan of snoek i stick with hake. Sit outside and enjoy an ice cold beer while waiting for your order. Take in the views. Watch the seagulls swooping nearby. Can get windy... More

This place is famous for its fish & chips and no matter how many times you go there, the taste and freshness is always the same, Great views of course and the service is always pretty quick. A true Cape Town icon.

What makes this restuarant so amazing to me is the decor. This is not your run of the mill franchise restuarant. This is a unique restuarant with the most amazing decor perfectly suited for its harbour location. I have eaten here on numerous occasions and everytime the food has been amazing. I can highly recommend the Mariners Curry and if... More
