So this used to be the best place in Cloudcroft. Not anymore. It was bought by some folks from out of town who have run it in the ground. They don't do Happy Hour anymore. The food has gone absolutely down hill. We are there recently & all of the condiments on the table were 18 MONTHS PAST their expiration... More

Food was good. Portion size was large. Small seating area for dinning and a very slender bar area. Loved the dollar bills attached to the walls of all the people who had eaten there. Pool table in the back of the bar.

The coffee was hot & fresh from the beginning and after a 30 min. Plus wait the brakfast burrito was tasty. But 30 minutes to get a meal? And in January with snow on the ground, they kept the inside temperature at 60 degrees. Next time somewhere else for us.

Great Food! A little small but very good food! The pancakes are huge so be careful on ordering more than one.

This is the Town Bar- sit at the bar, take in the atmosphere, listen to the local yore and enjoy a cocktail- music if they have it- bring cash no cards accepted here!

we ate here 3 times...each time the food was super! small, with limited wait staff, but good food. the bar in the adjacent room was cool with a historical past.

They pour them strong, the bartenders are sassy, and the locals are happy to talk to you and offer advice. Note, this is a cash-only spot and there's an ATM in the front area. Be sure to tip the bartenders, don't be that guy to throw down a buck at the end of the night.

The Western Bar is a nice, clean restaurant in the center of a really cool little town. The town itself is as out of the way as it gets, but totally worth the journey. The restaurant is simply decorated, mostly with 1980's era Coors prints. Go through the portal to the bar side, and it's all dollar bills all the... More

We stopped in here after hiking outside Cloudcroft. This is definitely local fare at it's best. We sat at the bar and had a tasty Mexican dinner while chatting with several locals about life in this small town. The food is very good and the wait staff are very friendly. We left a signed dollar bill on the walls to... More

The Western has changed hands but the food is just as good. We eat breakfast there quite often when we are in Cloudcroft. The draw back is they only take cash. No credit cards.
