This is the best place to eat in Ft. Sumner. Twice, I have passed through town and stopped here to eat, and each time I have been treated with western hospitality. Their food is homemade and perfect. I would recommend you stop there on your way through the plains of eastern New Mexico. The smoked brisket was awesome.

We are on a road trip and stopped at the Rodeo Grill for lunch. It was excellent ! You should always check out the special of the day, but don't forget that all the other things and especially the burgers are great.

We stopped here for lunch with my sister and husband who live in Ft Sumner and had the burgers and Fries. The 5$ deal is for a small burger. Normal size is a good sized meal but on the expensive side. Fries were very good.

This place comes highly recommended by people working in the area. They have several specials for every meal plus their regular menu. Good pancakes, great Denver omelette and awesome home fries they are super crispy without being burnt or overdone. Looking forward to their award winning salsa on my next visit. Owners are the people that wait on you and... More

I was passing through, it was lunch time, so I stopped. The food was decent and was ordered from a menu board on the back wall. It was a good rest stop so I can't complain.

Little gem on the Llano Estacado with great burgers, specialty hotdogs and great breakfast for a very reasonable price. It's a good little rest stop between Santa Fe and the Central Texas. A pretty woman greets is from behind the counter every time we stop. Rodeo frames on the wall. Local and passing-through clientele most days.

I guess like Fred's restaurant in Fort Sumner, they were having trouble hiring help because they were closed and we were there on a Sunday when most restaurants are open.

We cannot eat wheat, so when we saw the menu that consisted almost entirely of sandwiches and burgers we were not happy. But they are very flexible, and were happy to make us a bread less sandwich which was very good. Also, they have great home made fries.

Really enjoyed our stop there. I asked for a special order and the cook (who was the owner) made it w/ no problem. I had the BLT, my husband had the special, pork sandwich. Super good, will go again. Could use a little cleaning, but fun local establishment w/ lots of rodeo pics on the wall.

Quite good, especially for such a small town along the road, and one with so few food options. Wears its rodeo theme comfortably, naturally. Burgers, gourmet hot dogs, brisket, sandwiches, breakfasts, and daily lunch special. I had the Billy the Kid Burger with the hand-cut fries. Open only for breakfast and lunch (and they switch from one to the other... More
