We attended Wendell's Easter Brunch event, so this review doesn't apply to their regular dining service. Food selection was excellent. Overall quality was high, and tasty. Two items didn't measure up: The king crab legs were very watery, as if they had been boiled rather than steamed. The roast lamb was medium-well to well-done, without a shred of medium (pink)... I like to have breakfast or lunch at this restaurant because dinner is overpriced. The view of the lake and the mountain is beautiful and the food earlier in the day is priced right. I've never had a bad meal here, and I've been here quite often but it's not my 1st choice, it's always my dear friends 1st choice... More

Nicest restaurant on the casino property, with the most upscale menu. The food was good- not outstanding- but the service just didn't live up to the price point.

Had the Elk Medallions with mash of the day. Excellent food. Next time will share an entree with husband. It was enough for 2 people. Had She crab soup with pine nuts.

Dinner prices are high for what you get. The food was good but you would be better off going to a local steakhouse for the price.

We eat here once a month when we are in town! Here is the good parts great atmosphere, nice wait staff, Great tortilla soup, good steaks, nice selection of wine, great salads. Needs improvement on selection of food. Shrimp dish is okay but not worth expense. What happened to the corn bread in the dish?

The wait staff is attentive and one wants for nothing. The food is excellent and is pleasing to look at. Who knew breakfast could be so fancy!?

We ate at Wendells and again we were disappointed. We asked for a desciption on an item and all the guy could say was" that it is just as it says on the menu" I asked for a couple of more olives for my martini and he came back with 2 small olives on a paper napkin. they were not... More

We had Loaded Baked Potatoes for lunch and a good glass of tea. If you just order a side for lunch, it's not too pricy. That's all we needed for lunch before hitting the casino.

Wendell is named after Wendell Chino, the father of economic development for the Mescalero Apache tribe. The quality of the foods and professional service are sound syatements of his legacy. Try the prime rib.
