We went here looking for New Mexico mexican food. We had eaten here over 30 years ago and had good spicy mexican food. The ambiance was good But have to tell you the Mexican food was a real disappoinment. It was classical American Mexican food with little flavor or heat, Could not find my classical New Mexican dishes. So settled... More

La Posta is a New Mexican restaurant with great ambience, history and location. We first came here 45 years ago and only occasionally since then. Until this last visit we always found the food average. This time we stopped for lunch and ordered a red chile enchilada plate and taco plate. Both were very good especially the red chile enchilada.... More

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was so impressed with the historic location, the history of the restaurant, the festive decorations as well as the food and service. Our server was Brett who was so attentive and informative and gave us the history on the restaurant and also suggested a few plates that are the favorites... More

Good New Mexico cuisine, had steak fajitas, meat was tender and delicious. My husband had mild sauce beef burrito, spicy meat with mild sauce it was delicious but very spicy for those who do not usually eat spicy food. My husband really enjoyed it. Portions were large. We finished out our meal with homemade flan and it was delicious. Service... More

tried a few meals there--endless combinations or classics like tamales or rellenos are all great. Atmosphere of the various dining rooms of the restaurant is delightful. Historical building.

The food is ok, nothing to write home about. I had a good meal with a good margarita. My friend didn't finish his meal. The service was good. The attraction about this place is the large cage inside in the middle of the restaurant with the big, colorful birds. We spent time just looking at them and talking to them.... More

We were told by friends to try this place while in Las Cruces. The restaurant is all decorated for Christmas which added to the charm of the place. The service is very good. The combo plates is a good way to try a little of everything, but there is a lot on a plate. Try not to fill up on... More

We were stopping through, upon recommendations from friends we went to La Posta for dinner. The food was good, but the ambiance made it special. It was decorated for Christmas mid-November and it was just amazing. Loved the atmosphere. The service was very friendly, food was great but the history and decor were what made it special.

This restaurant is very spacious and accommodating great place for tourists and large parties! Built into old mission style house. The interior and exterior were beautifully decorated for the holiday season. My entree of flautas was okay. But the drinks and the chili con queso were absolutely amazing! Please try the cucumber jalapeno margarita and the chili con queso is... More
