Old Martina's Hall had a rough beginning. It was an historic building that was lovingly restored, but the management and organization was a problem what kept patrons away. NOW there is a new chef, a full liquor license and a trained wait staff, which is making all the difference. We were there for drinks and dinner last week. The service,... More

We went for the dancing with dinner before. Were a bit confused about having to reserve a table in the dance hall. So we sat and were served in the restaurant. When we asked, our server arranged a table in the dance hall, where they have a (slightly) different menu and different wait staff. She even moved our drinks into... More

After checking out St Francis' Church, this is the place to eat. Good food, friendly staff, and nice décor too.

Although we were disappointed in our last few meals here, upon recommendation from friends, we decided to try the Friday fish special dinner at this lovely historic restaurant. Our experience was beyond our expectations! The fresh pink grouper was cooked perfectly as were the side vegetables and pressed beautifully. The staff was attentive and the chef even visited our table.... More

Though past inconsistencies in this historic restaurant's food and service has kept us away, our decision to join friends for another try were extremely well-rewarded. Martina's Friday Fish special dinner offering easily exceeded our expectations. Our choice of the fresh pink Panama grouper special was expertly prepared, presented, and served. Indeed, the chef made a brief appearance at our table... More

Great food, wonderful ambiance, a wonderful venue for a large party for possibly a wedding reception, family reunion, just think of an event where you need lots of space.

Enjoyed the quality of food in this historic building. Tried it a couple of times while visiting Taos and all choices were great. Happy Hour includes half price on excellent wines as well as many appetizers and small plates. Shrimp, crab cakes, and calamari were all great.

After 4 disappointing lunches, i decided to try the new chef. Still a disappointment. My steak (the size of a deck of cards) in the Southwest steak salad was over-aged and over-cooked -- I had ordered rare. There was nothing Southwest in grilled Romaine wedges with walnuts, bacon bits and grapes.
