I was disappointed to find out there is no actual candy shop still operating. However, the local, "grandma's" feel restaurant satisfied our tummies. Operational hours are a bit peculiar so make sure to check that out before stopping by for a visit. Highly recommend the...More

They had a Sunday buffet for breakfast that was ok. The eggs on the hot plate weren't hot, but they were edible. The bacon and sausage was real good though. The waitress was very friendly, and we were in and out real quick.

I knew Pappa's from over 30 years ago. The food was first rate and the history behind it goes back to the 1950's. Now, not so much. It looks like a cheap diner, the food was mediocre and the service was ridiculously slow.More

I'm sorry to hear your dining experience wasn't pleasant. I'll definitely be looking into this. Raton has gone through some major changes in the last 30 years including our race track and coal mine closing down. The recession hit Raton hard and more businesses closed...More

Thank you for having breakfast with us! Lots of history especially since the restaurant will be celebrating our 94th year in business this November. The employees love talking about the history of Raton!

Family owned restaurant in business since 1923. Our sandwiches are still served on our homemade bread. We have expanded the menu this year to include more home style favorites like meatloaf with homemade mashed potatoes, and spaghetti. We have kept our local Mexican food favorites such as our pancake style enchiladas, stuffed sopapilla, and fajitas. We also have beer and wine to accompany your meal. Sunday's we have a breakfast buffet from 8:30-11:30.
