When you love pancakes as much as I do, you can never go wrong when they slam a plate down on your table with a pancake as big as your torso...and that's not an exaggeration! And if the size itself doesn't win you over, the taste will. They're delicious! Everything else was also good (I had the bacon, egg &... More

Cool place to visit. A lot of locals were there. Small place with 1 or 2 wait staff. Unfoetunately we were not impressed with food or service.

I recently visited Red River by myself and went to this cafe for a late breakfast/early lunch. I ate and did my business at my table. I ended up being the only customer in the place so the workers were at a nearby table discussing what they needed to do in their work and just discussing life. I ended up... More

Our last morning in town got off to a terrific start with breakfast at Old Tymers Cafe. Having seen photos of their ginormous pancakes, I had to try one. I ordered a blueberry pancake with patty sausage. The pancake was indeed huge, hanging over the platter on all sides, but more importantly it was delicious! It was as light as... More

Really enjoyed the food at this restaurant and ate there three times during our 5 day stay this past week. However, our last time on Thursday, the waitress never checked on us except when we actually asked her for coffee (she was usually just yawning and leaning against another co-worker). Therefore, I only gave a 15% tip vs. 20% I... More

Hit Red River and had lunch. Bacon cheese burgers. Wait staff was friendly. Offered take away drinks. Food was fast and tasty! Price not too bad.

The service and the food was great. They have a big selection on the menu. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very considerate.

This breakfast is awesome! This place wants me to wake up to early and wait for them to unlock the door! The buttermilk pancakes are huge! The breakfast enchiladas will cure any hunger, any appetite. Never tried lunch, but I have no worries. Eat here and you will not be disappointed

Went there one morning for a cup of coffee. Was greeted with all the warmth of a prison guard. There are other places that people are more welcoming that people show the traditional Red River friendliness.
