If you go to Ruidoso this is a must! Great steaks and a salad bar like no other! They have a great lunch and dinner menu and enough room for the whole family!

I liked the salad bar but the steak I received was very dry and hard to chew. I tried putting steak sauce but it didn't help much so I didn't get to eat anything but the salad. The staff was nice and understanding and took the charge off my since I was unable to eat my main dish

The salad bar keeps us coming back again and again. I can go here just for the soup and salad bar and be completely happy. The steaks are always delicious and the chicken fried steak is one of the best you'll find in town.

Fine food and service. The salad bar will keep you busy. Steaks, chicken and more are superbly prepared. Eaten here often, will again.

The best soup and salad bar in Ruidoso. Also try the Chicken Fried Steak.........it is HUGE and the white gravy supreme.

This restaurant is what you'd expect in the typical small town. The food is good but nothing that is going to blow you away. I had a 8 oz New York steak and a baked potato. Meh. The salad bar is huge and has lots of options. Bread they bring to the table was fresh and yummy. My husband had... More

Cattle Barron's is the only bright spot when it comes to dinner is this town. Service is good, quality food and great for the family. Very clean and easy parking. Also close to the racetrack. My choice is their sirloin steak. Can't go wrong.

The positives are that the salad bar is huge, the staff very pleasant and the entrees tasted okay. The negatives unfortunately outweigh the good points. At 5:00 the carpet had chunks of food all over (the salad bar--but still!) and completely overpriced. We were looking forward to a nice meal out after a long day on the road but not... More

My husband and I went for dinner on a Friday night, we were in town for the weekend and I knew their salad bar was great but couldn't remember if the menu was.. Now I know why I only remembered the salad bar because it was the only thing worth remembering. I couldn't believe how absolutely HORRIBLE A FILET COULD... More

This was about the only place close to the Sitzmark Chalet that we could walk to after a long day of driving. Sadly, after the wonderful salad bar, the rest of the food was just average. I was disappointed in my steak which was not nearly as good as the ones at a Longhorn Steakhouse or an Outback. I had... More
