Good sandwich lunch. Different sandwiches from routine. I had Crouque Monsieur very good. Comes with very good salad. Hubby had Brie sandwich served with apples.

My only complaint about Gutiz is that my favorite dish, the Paella, is the most expensive, and so damned good, I rarely get anything else. Its chock full of fresh shrimp, clams, calamari and mussels, that even at $18, its a great value. Start with the lemonade with fresh mint, and be sure to sample some of Jennifer's hand made... More
Used to be one of my favorite spots in town, up until the past year or so. The last couple of times I've visited, the service has been slow, food has been cold (as in, the grated cheese not even melted in my Parisian Crepe), portions seems more meager and just not inspiring for a return visit. The kitchen is... More
Our day trip from Santa Fe up to Taos started here. After a beautiful 90-minute drive north, we were famished, and knew this well-regarded café would be our destination. Located a mile or so north of downtown, it's easy to find. We settled in on a quite morning off season. She had the Green Chili Breakfast Bowl and I had... More
I have a pet peeve. I live for breakfast and coffee and yet often find when I go out for breakfast that it is hard to find a refill or warm up or that the coffee is not on par with the food. Nobody let me go without quality hot coffee in my cup here. The breakfast care is unique... More
We've eaten here many times & have had breakfast, brunch and lunch here. It's our go-to breakfast & lunch place in Taos. Gutiz is open 8am-3pm every day except Mondays, the one day they are closed. We are mainly vegetarians that occasionally eat fish, but not other meat, so we are limited to certain items on the menu, and I... More
I had a scramble egg tower and salad for breakfast that was pitch perfect. The menu is a fusion of French and New Mexican food. Having traveled around France and living in New Mexico, I look forward to many more visits.
In New Mexico, it's easy to find cheese-emporiums (restaurants that douse everything they serve with cheese), so when you find a place that doesn't do that, you just have to stand up and cheer! Healthy, delicious, and beautifully prepared (and served), Gutiz is a small spot of goodness on a otherwise cheesy-plain. Just about everything they serve home-made and very... More
We came 5 minutes before closing and they couldn't have been happier to see us. Our meals were delicious, my vegetarian open face sandwich was mouth watering. Now for the show stopper - the pecan pie. Everything at Gutiz is homemade. The pie crust and filling were perfectly balanced, I was so sad that I was sharing it.
