During a day at the plaza, we walked just a few short blocks to try La Cueva. From the ceviche to our hearty entrees, very good food and excellent value.

Group of five last night on the patio. As Texans were pretty picky about our Mexican style food. La Cueva was the best. Fast and friendly service, charming patio, friendly and knowledgable wait staff, excellent food choices. We were all very pleased with our meal...More

Omgosh! Angels were dancing in my tongue! Chili Rellenos were excellent, very attentive service, and they brought water for our fur-baby! The best part of lunch - Key Lime Pie w/Margarita Sauce! Fabulous!

We walked from our Rental house off the Main Street. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. Everyone loved their food except for me. I ordered the green chile and found it bland and lacking flavor. The red chile was definitely better!

This place is very unassuming--some might describe it as a bit of a dive, but it is well worth it. Sit on the patio and enjoy the food, which is excellent. The prices are reasonable for what you get.

A local recommended La Cueva Cafe to us several years ago on our first trip to Taos, and I'm so happy we listened to that suggestion. We eat here at least once on every trip to Taos and have never been disappointed. We are both...More
