My family of 16 stayed for 5 days at the Shady Brook Inn and enjoyed the convenience of the cafe with it's coffee bar, soft drinks, breakfast burritos and casual dining options that are tasty buy friendly to the budget. We also needed a large space to have a special Christmas dinner with such a large number and they were... More

My family of six stayed at the Shady Brook Inn for five days and visited the restaurant first because of the convenience, but returned often for the food. All meals, breakfast, lunch and even an early dinner were great. Wonderful casual cuisine that exceeded the expectations of even my pickiest of daughters. Fantastic accommodations and restaurant. I strongly recommend both... More

Restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday 7 - 4 p.m. You are greeted with warm hospitality by Ramona. She is beautiful person and is so helpful with meal ideas. Great-tasting coffee, which they happily keep you with plenty of. I love the pancakes. My wife prefers southwest meals, while I like basic food. She had a tamale breakfast this last... More

We are lucky to have Ramona's Shady Brook Cafe in our canyon and make a point of eating there regularly. The food is excellent, the location lovely, and the cafe is family run. This is lots of history surrounding Shady Brook and it adds atmosphere to the flavorful food.

So excited that Shady Brook has a new cafe. Ramona and her husband run this cafe, and it couldn't be better!!! Have had breakfast there twice now, and I love the Veggie Omelet. My husband loves the pancakes. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Every time we go from Angel Fire to Taos, we stop to eat there. Highly recommend... More

We watched for over 2 years while this place was transformed into a very nice group of condos and the restaurant overhauled. Several of our friends made a point to have lunch there...good reports on food and ambience. HOWEVER, starting this past summer, it looks like all activity has ceased and the restaurant closed. Don't know anything about the condos... More

I had noted the Shady Brook Cafe while driving around the Enchanted Circle. I thought that it must be very good to exist miles from anywhere. Reading the reviews I made a point on my next visit to Taos to stop on by. It was a wonderful experience. The place is small, but completely full when we arrived. The server... More

I spotted this place on a drive from Taos to Angel Fire, and determined, after reading reviews, to stop there on my way back. I was not disappointed. You can choose to eat outside or inside. I ate indoors. All the tables have fresh flowers on them. My server was very helpful in describing portion sizes to me. I was... More

We are so thrilled that Shady Brook Cafe has opened, as we've been watching the progress of the remodel for a couple of years. What a treat!!! Love the beautiful breakfasts. My favorites are the regular Eggs Benedict and the California Eggs Benedict. So, different, so tasty. Have to stop at Shady Brook every time we go by. The staff... More
