When we first arrived in TorC, in January, it looked like the Sunset was closed. However, it "reopened" in February and we ate there twice, breakfast both times. The food is terrific, especially the breakfast burritos, and the quantity is huge! My wife and I split a burrito the second time and it was still more food than we needed.

Going back and forth to Albuquerque, we decided to stop mid-way and get lunch. The place we had hoped to stop at was not open, they apparently are still in the midst of remodeling. The Sunset Grill is not fancy by any means; however, the food and friendly service make it very much worth a stop. My wife had a... More

Enjoyed dinner at this local restaurant. Lots of good choices and friendly staff. The service was a little slow but overall good experience.

From the outside Sunset Grill is pretty unimpressive. And it's not particularly fancy inside, either. But the food was surprisingly good for a small-town "hole in the wall" establishment.

This is a mid sized café with two dining rooms. Our waiter was very personable and friendly. Our meals were excellent. The salsa and chips seemed to be from a jar and bag but can't say for sure.

Was on road trip and tired on chains. Drove farther into town and took a chance. Wow, what a surprise! Was offered chips and salsa when seated, and salsa was freshly made and delicious. Ordered the green Chile burger and it was incredible. Came with more fries than I could begin to eat. Recommend passing the Dennys and McDonald's and... More

The food in this restaurant is great. Plenty of food on the plate and free soppipias. Really worth your while to stop and eat at this restaurant. You get a lot of food for your money.

Soon as we walked in the door, we got the feeling we weren't welcome. Waitress ignored us, wasn't friendly, & was actually rude to most of us. She did not want to wait on us & she made it clear with her actions. They weren't that busy but she was nice & checked on all the other tables except us.... More

The place is run down, the service was very slow. I ordered something to go, it looked terrible, but it tasted ok. The sopapillas tasted good.

Sunset Grill's waiter, Byron Lucero, recommended the carne adovada. We ordered it in an enchilada and it was delicious. The sopapillas were excellent as well. Service was great and they let us linger as we were the last customers before they were getting ready to close.
