We stopped for lunch at the Sunset Café a few weeks ago. We had a burger and a beef brisket sandwich. We each had a soup. All was good. Our server was very nice. The space was cute but needed a deep clean.

The food was mediocre at best and our meals took almost an hour to come to table. My husband ordered pork loin which came with mashed potatoes but kitchen was out of them at 4:45 pm. on a Friday. Vegetable was over cooked carrots. No bread or roll with the meal. My fish fry was all batter and over fried.... More

Stopped for dinner midweek. An old favorite for years. Again no disappointment. Always good. Had the artichoke bacon soup..(of the day). delicious!. Pulled pork sandwhich was one of the best anywhere. So flavorful. My wife enjoyed her favorite here, the spinach quesadilla with chicken. We winter in tucson,Az. for years and would compare the food at the Sunset with the... More

My husband and I made our first visit to the Sunset Café while in Ballston Spa for the "First Friday" event. The menu looked interesting and we were very hungry. We did not have to wait for a table, but we had to wait for drinks because the bar was "backlogged". We waited 45 minutes for our food-- a salad... More

I stopped at a popular Mexican Ballston Spa restaurant for lunch. The Sunset Cafe is a family run restaurant on Front Street in downtown. I had a very good tossed Caesar Salad topped with thinly sliced smoked salmon. The salad was around $15. The waiter was very quick and seemed to have the handle on around 4/5 tables by himself.... Stopped for a quick meal on our way to SPAC for a concert. No one was up front and we ended up winding our way through 3 rooms back to the bar to find someone to seat us. Once we were at out table, though, the service was fine. Hubby had the soup and we both enjoyed Cobb salads. It... More

My friends and I come here for two things - the Cadillac Margarita and the Quesadillas - both, homeruns! Great local established with friendly staff. Food is consistently good and always a nice ambiance away from sometimes crowded Saratoga. Highly recommend. (Also, take out from here is always well done when you want someone else to make the food and... More

Food is excellent, I really enjoyed my meal a lot. Restaurant is cute and clean. Waiter was poor. Served ice tea without ice. Felt very pressured go order. I went to this restaurant back in September and had a much better experience with the service. The waitress was great. Owner needs to train waiter better but I would definitely give... More

For several years, the Cafe has been our favorite near home once a week dining destination. Always consistently quality food at reasonable prices and staff we have gotten to know. In recent months, there have been changes to the food that has been so disappointing. Cowboy steak went from a thicker strip steak style to a thin sirloin cut. Drier.... More
