On arrival at the pub for my birthday, we were welcomed with a busy bar and a great looking restaurant. On being asked to sit at out table we were taking through a door into a small room round the back of the bar, from here it went down hill. Me and my wife felt like we had been left... More

Excellent place, I walked in and the owner was very friendly from the start. They had a nice range of ales to choose from and they came in the glass to match. It's a pet hate of mine when I get a drink in a non-matching glass! I had the specials board duck which came in a huge portion, very... More

Went thre on a Saturday night. Wasn't exceptionally busy but I would still book to make sure. It is located down a dark lane so be caerefulmwhen parking at not to block people's drive. It does have a small ca park but tight if you have a big car. As for food, spot on. For starters, the prawns. Lovely. I... More

We found this pub through TripAdvisor for a family get together lunch. Excellent food in a French style, full selection for 3 course lunch. excellent value; cheerful front of house staff and wonderful food from the kitchen. My wife says that it was the best seafood tagliatelli ever. The Seven Stars thoroughly deserves its success.

Found this pub by chance after a recommendation in local paper. Booked a table Sunday morning and arrived in the village which is beautiful. Decided to have a walk around the village to the church and back before sitting for our meal. We were very much welcomed by staff, the pub was certainly busy but we were not kept at... More

Ordered the french onion soup which was very nice if a little much, but not complaining. For main i had the smoked haddock and poached egg on mash with a mustard saurce. It was very good. Nice small place with a nice feel as you pull up and enter down the lit path. Server was great, young staff but well... More

The place was heaving with people so was noisy but buzzy. The service was friendly and not too slow given the crowd they had in. Our food was ok - generally bog standard pub fare nicely presented.

We had lunch with a Travelzoo voucher and what an amazing pub. The two young men who served us were some of the nicest staff we have encountered anywhere. Food was brilliant with lots of choice on the menu. The Seven Stars is a warm, welcoming pub and we will certainly return, lovely touch was the candle on my Brownie... More

We are locals and have been to the 7 stars several times over the years. Like an earlier review we saw the Travelzoo offer for 2 courses and coffee for £13.Over the years it has had several owners and eventually became a community restaurant/pub. Staff excellent and service superb, food lovely both for choice and quality. Plenty of options available... More

We heard about this restaurant through Travelzoo. It is a community pub and we had a warm and welcoming visit. The food was delicious with an excellent choice and a good 'specials' board. Certainly going to re-visit!
