This restaurant was recommended by our B.&B. host as an experience and a meal to remember. Which we will. Finding the place is not easy without a local to drive you. Entering Sach's through a bar in a very old building is a little disconcerting. Jim the chef comes out to greet you, seats you, and then takes your order.... More

I had heard great things about this restaurant from reviews and from family/friends who had been there and was looking forward to it. The atmosphere (or lack of it) lived up to expectations..the food did not. Maybe it was an off night for Sach, but there was little that was impressive and little that seemed comparable to photos I had... More

I was truly blown away by the meal. The salad was fresh baby lettuce mix with cherries and blue cheese, I think almonds. Tasty. My entree was not only delicious but was beautifully, artistically presented. The chef, server were one in the same, reserved, polite and gracious. I wish he would purchase a coffee maker. I missed it with dessert.... More

I went for dinner with a friend and our meals were amazing! We had to wait a little while for our dinners but considering it's probably just one person making your meal, it was well worth it. Make sure you save room for dessert!

Unless I was told about this place I would have never know what an amazing restaurant this was. Its a small dinning room in the back of a locals bar but the food was 5 star quality! It was a small menu that changed daily, but I wanted to try every single item on it. When my food did come... More

I took some time trying to find this bar since it is more in a neighborhood than on the main drag. It is a small bar with a small bar area and a pool table. When I arrived a woman who was no bartender was making a drink awkwardly. Later the woman bartender arrived and the other woman returned to... More

My husband recently took me here for my birthday. He had initially warned me to "have an open mind" & I admit being somewhat alarmed when we parked in a not-so-nice part of town & had to walk through a bar to get to the dining area. However, my opinion quickly changed. The menu offered 7 main course selections, all... More

Sach's Tee House has an excellent chef who is also often the waiter, the maitre d', and the busboy. He is classical in his cooking and it is excellent value. He does not have a liquor license and so you have to get your alcoholic drinks from a working class bar at the front where the selection is not great.... More

This small and unheralded restaurant serves some of the best gourmet food in Binghamton at surprisingly moderate prices. The menu (dinner only) typically features 6-7 highly varied entrees ($16-26), which are different each week. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the adjoining neighborhood bar (separate ownership), through which one must walk to reach the restaurant. The bar offerings include low... More

We decided to try Sach's tea house on word of mouth recommendations as well as tripadvisor reviews.. Upon arriving we had to walk through a bar full of locals out for a few drinks. In the back was a clean, quaint area of nicely set tables. The service was good but the food and presentation were excellent! It was a nice... More
