Angelo makes a good pizza especially considering how far the place is from New York City. Believe me, it's tough to get good pizza sometimes upstate. The slices could be larger to add more value. The dining area was fairly clean. Catskill is a nice...little village and Village Pizza II is a good place to eat.More
My first time here and I got the two slices and two meatballs special for $8. It was great my slices could have been hotter though. Next time I’ll be sure to get the garlic bread to go with my meatballs and sauce.
I don’t eat pizza, so I’m not reviewing that. The spaghetti dinner was good, with pasta cooked just right and tasty tomato sauce. But the accompanying garlic bread was really bad: no crust, no yeasty taste, no glutenous stretch; no amount of garlic could compensate....There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Catskill, so being in third place is still pretty good. I’d place Tori G’s and Angelo’s ahead of Village Pizza II, but not by a lot.More
VIllage has always had the best pizza in town. The problem is, they only accept cash. That's a deal breaker for many people. If you have cash and you want a great pizza or a decent sub, Village is the place to be.
This is a family run business that seems very well liked by the locals that congregate there. It has a friendly hometown feel to it with the usual selection of pizza restaurant basics. The pizza was flavorful with a thin crust but very runny and...hard to pick up. I noticed most people eating it with a fork and knife, maybe that's a Catskill thing! The Summer Salad was crisp and fresh but the grilled chicken topping was way overcooked and dry. The garlic bread was buttery but not toasted nearly enough.More
Wow always delicious ! Love to eat right out of the oven ! This place uses the best cheese , and does not scrimp !!! I originally from NYC and my wife and I love this place. The staff is friendly and you can get...real Italian ices !!!!
Clean , nice ... Would love to hear some old time Frank Sinatatra music here or Rat pack. Wish it had more of an old time Italian cafe feel too.
Worth a trip , all the food is delicious ....every timeMore
