Once inside you order what you want, they cut it for you, a bit pricey but a good place to walk to in the summer and sit outside and eat. Plenty of parking and a few tables inside as well.

No need to even think of any other place to go for beef on weck. Not the prettiest restaurant, but my stomach did not know the difference. This place has Schwables beat hands down. Schwables beef on weck is now $9.99/sandwich. At Charlies you get a far better sandwich for $6.99. The onion rings are best to throw straight into... More

I was on vacation in Buffalo, NY and just had to go to Charlie's. Best in town and decent price. When I got to the cashier to order I mentioned that I could not decide between beef or turkey. She just stared at me and waited for my order. I finally chose the beef on weck. Upon leaving I looked... More

Visiting Buffalo for a hockey tournament from NJ. Place was recommended to me by another dad who was from Buffalo. Had the Beef on Weck. Best roast beef sandwich I have ever had. Lived up to the hype.

We had the beef on weck. Delicious. They are friendly and very busy. If you are in Buffalo, you owe it to yourself to try it out. We even saw Charlie working behind the counter.

If there's a better Beef-on-Weck in the Buffalo area ... or the entire region for that matter .... I don't know about it!! I've been coming here for years and in fact drove back to the airport to this location because it's my favorite!! Everything looks good but I can't attest to it since I come back for the beef!!... Had a great meal at Charlie's the beef on a weck was outstanding the roast beef was sliced after I ordered it the fries were crispy and the shake was good. Ask for gravy for the fries and ajus for the weck it took everything over the top. I think next time I'm in Buffalo I'll eat here twice once... More

We were staying overnight before a flight. I am a big fan of beef on weck and heard that Charlie's was very good. It proved to be correct. We both had the beef sandwiches and they were great. The real surprise was the split pea soup which was very good. Highly recommend!

Went here with a family member for lunch. As always, fresh and tasty food for fair prices. Expect to wait if you are ordering sausage or fish fry or something that needs to be grilled or fried. Roast Beef and turkey are so juicy and flavorful, kimmelwick rol is dipped in au jus for the roast beef sandwiches which adds... More

Known only in the Buffalo area, beef on weck is a "must have" sandwich and Charlie the Butcher's serves it up right! For the uninitiated a "weck" bun is a fluffy white bun topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds...split it and pile on some tender beef, mmmmmmm. Several locations are available to serve you. We ate at the Cayuga... More
