The Old World Cafe and Ice Cream shop is great place to relax and have a casual lunch or snack break. Prices are reasonable, the space is charming and the food is quite good. Be sure to take out some of their excellent baked goods.

I love visiting local cafes when out and about. This cute cafe is centralized in the town of Corning. Its adorable outside look does not disappoint when entering leads to oldtime charm. Entering leads to a oldtime soda fountain counter that serves ice cream and off to the left another counter for meals. Just love that oldtime feel. Nice selection... More

Very friendly, looked like anything you might have for lunch or a snack would be just right. We only stopped for a snack, but we would have had lunch if the time was right.

This is the place to go for GREAT fresh food, soup/salad combos, large salads, sandwiches, desserts, fresh coffee...you name it. Friends and I eat here often, oh and they have an ice cream bar with beautiful hand carved wood working. Plan on a wonderful lunch with family and friends.

We stopped into the Old World Cafe on Market Street in Corning, NY, for a coffee and ice cream and it was wonderful. The atmosphere in the cafe is so pleasant and the decor and original woodwork is beautiful. Go enjoy the soup of the day and other food items, including ice cream sundaes, coffees and teas.

My friend and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches. Everything is made fresh every day! Located downtown Corning, it is rich in history and food. They also have a great selection of coffee and ice cream. We will be back!

We stopped in for lunch. The layout of the place is a little strange but the food is very good. We both had the tuna melt panini, wow these things could feed three people! Of course we had to try the pies, pumpkin and apple. Both were very good. You order at the counter, pick a table, then they bring... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch and they didn't bat an eye when we asked to split a sandwich. They were very accommodating and you paid after you were done eating. The atmosphere in the shop was cute and had the old fashioned look.

We stopped here in Corning. Really great sandwiches and soup. Terrific ice cream. The bakery items looked great although we did not try them.
