Seems like many businesses give themselves a french-sounding name and people flock to it only to be disappointed. But this place was the real thing. Their food was an authentic sampling of French & Moroccan dishes prepared in the way they would be back home. Our waiter, a French man, was very kind, professional and paced the meal very well.... Tagine is right in the village area of town (conveniently walkable from our house) and has wonderful food (excellent scallops, especially). It's also beautifully decorated and a good spot for a special night out. They have brunch on Sundays with an amazing sounding menu that we've been meaning to try. Highly recommended!

Once again had a great dinner at Tagine, and on this Saturday night went for the big ribeye for two. The guys shared that with a well recommended Côte du Rhone while the women enjoyed their lighter fish choices, the scallops being especially good. It's great to have a kitchen of this quality in walking distance of home!

Classic French style restaurant with Morrocan twist. Elegant decor, classic French, white cloth service with a menu that serves both French and Moroccan dishes. I always come here for a good steak frites au poivre. Their soups are outrageously delicious. The crème brûllée is worth every sugar laden calorie. The price is slightly more than the usual restaurant, but it's... More

We were excited to have dinner at a Moroccan restaurant close to us in Northern Westchester. The taste of a lamb tagine, although quite good, was nowhere close to what a tagine tastes like (more like a lamb stew). Escargots, ordered as an appetizer, contained no garlic (and, what are escargots without garlic?). Service was attentive and quick, atmosphere was... More

When this restaurant first opened, I gave it one star. It was the first week and they weren't really ready, so we never returned. As of a few months ago, we tried it again and were 'KNOCKED OUT". The food was terrific (especially their scallops which were perfectly prepared and delicious)...and the service was just fine. The decor is pleasant... More

Since it opened a few years ago, I've sidestepped Tagine in the center of the village of Croton until this past weekend. As it turns out, it's a perfectly pleasant little spot for a cuisine that doesn't get a lot of play in these parts. The namesake dishes were tasty and hot, a bit on the timid side in terms... More

Great, delicious place 5 mins away from the Blaze Halloween attraction! Food was inventive and amazing, don't miss the fried olive appetizer of the St Germaine champagne cocktail to start. There were 5 of us, seated immediately for our reservation, service staff great and every one of our dishes were tasty and no complaints! The atmosphere is warm and charming.... More

Description
Jonathan Pratt and Craig Purdy have known one another since 1971. They met at Peter Pratt's Inn and today they are co-owners of this iconic country dining landmark. When daydreaming about new food ideas and restaurants they'd like to run, discussion would return again and again to the idea of casual French food, like the two recalled from the early days of Peter Pratt's Inn. Craig would fill in the margins with stories about riding scooters around coastal India, or hitchhiking to southern Morocco. The foundation of any successful restaurant venture is a secure, affordable location. When the 120 Grand Street lease became available, Jonathan and Craig ran out of excuses for not doing this restaurant which had been in their thoughts for so long. So here it is-a blend of casual French with the surprising seasonings of North Africa-their long anticipated restaurant venture, Tagine.
