Had dinner last night downstairs in the cozy warm Tavern Room. The fire was going and it was so toasty warm. Candles on all tables such a nice feeling. Once again the food was excellent, the meatloaf always consistant and yummy, the tavern burger the best out east here. Now is the time to go here.

Two of us had dinner. The salad was amazing with many little tastes. My husband had a pork dish and I had swordfish, both tasty. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. It was a busy Saturday night. We would return.

We have stayed at this Inn a number of times and enjoy it ! Great weekend getaway any season... many relaxing things to do in the area. Food here whether breakfast or dinner is exceptional... and there are many other choices nearby as well. The Service is great and the innkeeper, Randye Lordon is the best... she reads the guests... Another serene and lovely dining experience in the main dining area of the 1770 House. Our meal was a wonderful start to our vacation. The room is intimate but not overly crowded and the noise level never seems to get too high. The menu is a little more complicated than that offered in the downstairs tavern, I would recommend trying... More

One of the finest dining establishments in the Hamptons. Menus of exquisite dishes prepared by award winning Chef Michael Rozzi. Extensive wine selection monitored by sommelier Michael Cohen. Expensive but warranted. Reservations suggested. A must dining experience when in the Hamptons.

Usually I don't review a restaurant unless it was all-around outstanding, but I'm doing this one because the negative points could easily be fixed. We had an early reservation (5:30) - the place was almost completely booked, so our choices were really early or really late - and we got there about 10-12 minutes early to be sure we'd be... More

The Tavern at 1770 House is not known by all. Upstairs it is a five star restaurant with five star prices. Carefully walk down the few twisty stairs and you are in another world. Great low lighting and wonderful what some call comfort food. I call it great food. Their burger is the best in the Hamptons and the meatloaf... More

This past weekend we had dinner at the 1770 House Restaurant with a friend from Minnesota. The cuisine was outstanding. I had the foie gras one of my favorite appetizers. It was one of the best I have enjoyed to date. The cavatelli special with truffle was also terrific. The deserts were also excellent. Perhaps decadent is a better word.... More

We weren't terribly hungry but we wanted quality food so we went to the 1770 Restaurant and ate downstairs in the Tavern‼️ My husband had a Caesar salad which was excellent‼️ I had the best burger ever‼️ It was a combination of different cuts of beef all ground together‼️ It was the best burger ever‼️ Pricey, but well worth it‼️

Very charming old inn, with an old speak easy tavern down below from the prohibition era, and a charming inn/dinning room above. We were told by locals to go here for amazing food, and we were not disappointment. Not that the inn is ugly, but just very old and you wouldn't expect the modern/high quality of food that is to...
