This past Halloween weekend was a second visit to Al's Village Diner. We attended our son's NYS Field Band Competition at the Carrier Dome. Not wanting to eat at fast food establishments, we stopped in at Al's again and was not disappointed! Cozy spot for locales, home-cooked meals, very reasonably priced, and friendly service wishing to please. What else could a... More

Go there almost every Saturday and lunch during work days. Just an all round diner. It's nothing fancy but good

A nice decent diner. Clean with a comfortable locals kind of atmosphere. The service was very nice and a great place for breakfast with a good menu and a very affordable price.

Service was good and food was OK. Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and was not really impressed. Order was correct but not crazy over food. Value was average

Little diner. I had the Mexican omlete with home fries, and an orange juice. The omlete was done perfect. The home fries are probably the best I have had in a long time. They are chunks instead of slices. They also leave the skin on, yum.

Family of five eating breakfast for under $20, not including beverages. Al's Village Diner is family-friendly and good tasting. The waitstaff knowledgeable and service was quick. A to-go-to place whenever we're in East Syracuse.

We had breakfast here and it was tasty. Service was very good but the place needs to be scrubbed from top to bottom. Bathrooms filthy, if I went to the bathroom before I ate I probably wouldn't have eaten. Has free parking. Casual.

Al's Village Diner is a small traditional diner. I ordered one of the breakfast specials (scrambled eggs and hash), and it was fine with good portions. The service was friendly, and the coffee was good. For something different from all the national chain restaurants and fast food places in the Syracuse area, definitely plan to visit Al's Village Diner.

Great prices, good portions, great comfort food. Has a real corner diner feel. Could use a little better lighting. Be aware the fish is fried not baked, doesn't say so on the menu, but overall a good place to eat.

What a lovely surprise. Such nice people (both the server and the cook). We only wanted some pie, which they don't make there, but is delicious (turtle, apple). They were so kind as to give us a sample of their home made scalloped potatoes. Smartest thing they could have done. We'll be back for dinner tomorrow!
