Always good food, excellent service and cozy dining room. Enjoyed the round table with fireplace blazing in the background. Excellent soup and sandwich with the so sweet cranberry pudding for dessert!

We were there late on a Sunday evening. Three of us had very tasty Prime Ribs. The fourth member of our party had scallops that she thoroughly enjoyed.

I love going here. Food is good. Their secret bread pudding is amazing! I have gone here several times over the years. On a nice day it is fun to sit outside on their cute little patio. History here and I do believe ghosts!

The Anvil has hosted many of our family gatherings and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal... I love their creamy horseradish house dressing followed by either a filet or Veal Anvil... If we have a group the Pate is a must as an appitizer... In the winter the big stone fireplace adds to the ambiance.... More

I live in the area and decided to bring out of town relatives as a special dinner. The waitress was very good. The main thing was the pricing, which started at $21 for something as basic as an 8-oz steak on up and up and UP. It was cold in the restaurant and the lighting was quite dim. The salad... More

This is our second visit to this quaint restaurant for dinner. Great cucumber martini, seafood platter and scallops appetizer. If you are in the area, you should try this local favorite. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the food, friendliness of the waitstaff, and comfortable atmosphere filled with local artwork and Adirondack decor. One of the lunch specials was a giant turkey wrap which came with homemade shoestring fries. I ended up taking half home and saving room for one of their mouth-watering... More

Got there somewhat late in the evening with a very large group. Food varied from very good to just ok. Waitress was very helpful and pleasant but the same cannot be said for the other waitress who was older and a bit less pleasant. Difficult crowd but a costly dinner but overall a nice night.

My Wife and I enjoyed a Date Night out and it was our first time visiting the Anvil Inn Restaurant in Fort Edward. The service was great and the food very satisfying.

Always live Anvil Inn! Food is fantastic! A little pricey for this area but well worth it. And I love the ambience! Especially in the winter with the fireplace roaring.
