I cannot believe that I went so many years living this close to an amazing spot and didn't know about it! The truffle hummus had my whole group of friends making ridiculous sounds of enjoyment, the falafel and schawarma were top notch, and even the baklava was great. I will be back many more times I am sure.

Gotta get the shwarma every time I'm in town. Love this quaint little joint in town. Will be back for sure.

Middle Eastern comfort food done very well at a reasonable price. This is a tiny place with big flavors and excellent for take out once a week to save you from cooking. I've never had bad, or even sub par food from this lovely little joint.

This was a highly recommended place by a cousin living in NYC. Went downtown for lunch just out of curiosity. We were not disappointed. The place was vegetarian...I was not aware that Kosher food is vegetarian.....great food though its located in a quiet street in the Village off 7th Avenue and one could easily miss it.....the constant stream of visitors... Tasty, reasonably priced, fresh salads, schwarma and falafel for a quick lunch or dinner. Small seating area can get crowded but when not busy makes for a fun family experience.

I've been dying to try this authentic Israeli/Middle Eastern/Indian restaurant for quite some time, and am I ever glad I took my family here. Yes, the Taiim Falafel Shack is a little hole in the wall with very few seats, but the owners and staff are friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the Massada, which is a... More

I love grabbing a lunch here with friends or bringing home the baba ganoosh. The place is tiny and fills up fast so ewe get there early. The large appetizer platter is big enough for 2 to share at lunch, the madajara (sp) is fantastic. This was the food I missed when I moved to westchester. Just all around delicious

If you've ever been to the Middle East, you'll know right away that Taiim in Hastings is average at best. Go to Taim in the West Village (NYC) for the real thing.

I buy their hummus almost every Saturday at the farmers market. I had wanted to try the falafel shack for months and finally got there. We ordered two falafel pittas and 2 bottles of water. It was $30! I thought she made a mistake and clarified our order twice. I am not sure if they really charge that much or... More
