We had a very enjoyable meal at Maria Bonita's on December 27, 2016. The food was very good, particularly the fajitas, enchiladas, and the coconut flan (my favorite part of the meal). The owner (or maybe owner's daughter) was our very friendly waitress. She shared some local flavor and kept us happy. I would highly recommend this quaint little restaurant... More

My husband and I chose this restaurant for a late lunch and we were the only customers. The lady sitting at the bar was occupied with her cell phone. The TV volume competed with the radio music and I requested mute TV sound, which she did, and to lower the volume on the radio, which she didn't. She reassured me... More

The four of us enjoyed a real good lunch late in the afternoon. It seemed to take longer than it should have because we were the only patrons in the restaurant. But it was worth the wait!

We went after hiking Anthony's Nose and the food was piping 🔥and delicious. The service and drinks were just right and the food hit the spot.

I hate to knock places, but hate two things bad food and poor service. Recently we took an African American friend family we had not seen in awhile and wanted a nice place to chat with decent Mexican food. I was a bit shocked at what I witnessed during this visit and won't be back. We have been to this... More

We stopped by after touring West Point. I'm so happy we stopped here. The margarita was the best I've had recently and he good...oh the food!! It was fresh and delicious. I'm trying to find reasons to come back to this region....I wonder if West Point is hiring Social Work professors or if Rutgers is playing them in any sport?

We tried Maria Bonita for dinner, given its top-rated restaurant ranking for Highland Falls. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The food was okay, but not great. But I will say that it was absolutely better than the Hacienda's food, which is the other Mexican option in town. So if you're in the mood for Mexican food, go here.

Enjoyed the day at West Point for a football game with Rutgers. Spending the weekend in the area and needed a good meal for dinner. We used Trip Advisor and went wth their #1 in Highland Falls - Maria Bonita. For a Sat evening we were surprised to be seated right away. Waitress very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the... More

We enjoyed Maria Bonita. It's a tiny place right in the center of Highland Falls. Many cadets were here tonight. The service was very good and attentive. I ordered the combination meal with flauta, burrito, and enchiladas. It also came with rice and beans. The guacamole was good as well. I would go back when in Highland Falls again.
