The spacious restaurant offers the choice of dining in doors, or out on the patio under well-designed, attractive shade sails. For true outdoor dining, the option of dining under the palm trees or next to the pool is available. Traditional Mozambican, Portuguese and international fare is served. A Covid-19 risk assessment has been done & necessary precautions taken to ensure the safety of guests and staff alike: 1. Daily temperature checks for staff & guests 2. We ate here several times during our stay in Vilanculos and each time our meals were wonderful. Beautifully presented, fresh ingredients, generous portions, good ambience and great service too. The prices might seem a little on the high side but you really do get what you pay for, so in our view it was worth it.

A menu that caters for everyone

We stayed at the Lodge for a week and while we had initially planned to venture out for some of the meals, we ended up having almost all of our meals at the restaurant - they have an extensive menu and the food is super tasty! Breakfast was a choice between cold buffet or warm dishes which could be ordered from the menu. Both options were delicious and the buffet spread really ensured that you had more than enough options. The menu offers a quite a few snack/ light meal options which was perfect for lunch - and as we were guests of the Lodge we had lunch next to the pool. Wonderful! The dinner menu truly caters for almost everyone - it even has a vegan menu! We tried some local dishes - the matapa with prawn which is a local staple was delicious - as well as the Portugese chicken - spectacular! The crab curry and prawn pasta were also amazing! Absolutely worth the visit!

Loved each and every meal!!!

We tried several different items on the menu and was very happy with each!!!! But if we have to choose our favourites: Breakfast : Banana Bread (my wife and the kids ordered it every single day!) I loved the Omelete with all the extras :-) Lunch : Burgers & Pizzas!!! Dinner : ANY of the seafood items (also pasta) and the PeriPeri Chicken Beware of the fresh breadrolls on arrival - they are yummy and addictive :-) Lastly the staff was super friendly and took time out to ask us about our trip and also to entertain the kids.

I must admit that our Banana bread breakfast is also one of my favorites, it is lovely to hear that your wife & kids enjoyed it so much. Great Food with great service, highly recommend it.

After enquiring as non hotel residents for a family lunch we were speedily assisted and accommodated by management who allowed day visitors the opportunity to spend the afternoon for lunch ad the full use of their wonderful facilities, the pool is great for Kids and the beach access is second to none. The service and the food was excellent to say the least along with a good variety all round, we will be back for sure!
