We are local backpackers around vilankulos and we the first backpackers owned by local people in vilankulos we are in beach front, We have one of the best local restaurants around vilankulos and the bar on the dhow! Como and visit us

Good place to stay and eat

On my first stay in Vilanculos i went to Bush Beach for dinner. Even though we had to wait for our food for quite a long time (later i learned, we ordered something which they ran out of, so they went to the market to buy it instead of asking us to make another order😅) it was worth it. The food is really good and the host super friendly and charming.! My second stay in Vilanculos i was staying in one of their huts, which was also 👌 waking up with the view to the sea, couldn't be better. 😉

Best grilled fish in Vilanculos

Home made grilled fish and side dishes from scratch, absolutely worth the wait. Perfect view to the beach. Super nice host. :-)

Great little gem of paradise!

We decided to find this place to eat for lunch after reading great reviews online, and discovered it was located right next door to Baobab Beach Camp where we were staying. The location is devine nestled under coconut trees right on the beachfront, and Pedro is an excellent host and full of local knowledge. We enjoyed fresh grilled fish, rice and matapa (a traditional Mozambique specialty). It was a lovely experience and would def recommend!

Best authentic local restaurant in Vilanculous.. thank you Pedro & fam for delicious Matapa & fish, crab, prawns & chicken served with coconut rice & of course, local beer 2M! The waves lapping on the shore a few metres away.. the voices of locals, happily walking home or to work, all part of forming an unforgettable Vilanculous experience .. we visited you twice and it was not enough ! Your mom Anita is an awesome chef! We will be back,, so get that beautiful wooden boat bar ready! Thank you for your and your good friends company too... the smell of that cherry cigar lingers :) .. We were having dinner yesterday and it was amazing! The food was the best we tried in Vilankulos ( matapa, chicken, fish of the day, crab, everything with delicious rice). Pedro was just a wonderful host! He had dinner with us, and made of our dinner an unforgettable moment! I'll repeat one hundred times!

Best matapa in Mozambique

I have been to this little place of paradise a few times to have dinner and it was fantastic every time. Pedro is an absolutely great host, he'll make you feel comfortable and feeds you excellent food. It's a great place to eat for couples, friends and lone visitors alike. The views are stunning and there is nothing like a chat around the beach fire with a belly full of delicious food and 2M. Authentic and awesome food driectly at rhe beach

Pedro and his family are running the place. It is not a normal restaurant, it feels more like visiting a friend and his family. The food is 100% athentic, fresh and delicious. Furthermore you will sit directly at the beach with an awesome view to the indian ocean!

We really enjoyed Pedro's hospitality and the delicious food he prepared. it was really nice to sit on the beach and have some freshly caught and well cooked fish. We particularly liked the coconut rice!

Best local food restaurante in Vilanculos

Bush beach restaurant is the best local food restaurante in Vilanculos. I had a very good lunch there, jummy fish rice and matapa, lovely made. The staff are very friendly and great. At the bush beach you have great food and amazing beach view. I will always go there again. Thanks for the great food and amazing tasting.

Amazing home cooked food and some of the best hosting I’ve ever experienced! For a very reasonable price Pedro produced a meal of rice and matapa (local speciality with peanuts, coconut, cassava and greens) with crab! Are it on the beach around a bonfire sipping on 2Ms. Can wholeheartedly recommend!!
