There were many choices on the regular menu plus quite a few specials. The Halibut cheeks were delicious. Never would have guessed they would be so good. Came with twice baked potato, vegetable and salad. The tuna appetizer was outstanding, There were four of us...and we all totally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. It is a bit pricey but well worth it for a special occasion.More
Great experience overall, the servers were delightful and very friendly. Place seems popular. My brother’ s crab and lobster cakes came out a bit dry. I can say though the food was mouthwatering, and it’s what you’d expect for the price.
Food is average to good. Prices are steep ($43 for prime rib). The blackened catfish is excellent. Shrimp and grits lousy. I was so put off by the bad attitude regarding AMEX I have decided to not return. They have the highest prices in the...area and quibble over the few percentage points they charge to run the card. The cheap skate owner actually penalizes waiter 10% as a fine (see photo). We will eat where our money is appreciated in the future.More
We were very surprised and delighted by the quality of the food here! The specials menu offered unique and delightful items in addition to the large regular menu. So many delicious items to choose from. The smelt appetizer was cooked to perfection, even to non-smelt...eaters. We ordered the porterhouse & Kobe filet, both exceptional. The server we had was friendly, attentive & efficient even though she was assigned many tables. We can’t wait to go back!More
I had the walleye which is very difficult to find anywhere in the area and it was cooked to Perfection and I sat outside on a beautiful evening and enjoyed it there. The food was good in the service was good
I am so stuffed I can barely move and I need a box. The food here is top notch. Fatima is our server of choice. She was so very busy tonight but still treats us like gold. I had the coffee Rib eye and even...well done it melts in your mouth. My friend had the Porterhouse and has half to take home. I highly recommend the crispy pork butt appetizer. I would have expected a restaurant of this quality to be in Buffalo or its suburbs instead of the farmland of western New York not far from Lake Erie, about 45-50 minutes south of the big city. enjoyed the superbly prepared walleye on a large...platter with potatoes and cooked vegetables preceded by a very fresh tasting salad with homemade Italian dressing. Their Sicilian Manhattan made with Makers Mark bourbon was a nice cocktail accompaniment. Apparently this restaurant has been here for many, many years. I also appreciated the acoustics since I didn't have to shout to be heard by my table mates. I'll be back.More
Former western NY residents that returned to visit family. We were hungry for beef on week. My sister said the Colony is the place to go. So we did. Greasiest, tasteless beef on wreck I have ever had. Yuck! Horseradish was even old & tasteless....French fries were over done as well.More
Always incredible service. The lobster is exquisite! The establishment has made some very nice updates to the building recently. The atmosphere is so nice and friendly, because the watiresses make it this way. You will feel like you are royalty as they tend to everything...that you need for a very comfortable dining experience.More
I took my girlfriend out for a celebration dinner and wow did we celebrate !!! The staff was so friendly and went out of they way to give us a great experience ! We had the 24 oz lobster tail !!!!! Yes 24oz and it...was the best I have ever had !!! Thank you to the Colony for making a special day perfect !!!More

I guess it depends on what you order. Two of the four in my group found the food to be excellent. The two remaining (myself included) thought the food was average. The food did come quickly and our waitress was attentive.
I have heard FABOULOUS things about the colony.,But neither my Dad nor I were impressed...Perhaps we hit it on a off night,,,,We will try it again.,,,,based on all the feedback from our family and friends,, The staff was EXTREMELY attentive ...and very guest oriented,
This was my second visit in one week and as usual the food was delicious and the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the fried perch dinner, which consisted of 5 nice sized perch with sides. The crab cakes were also a...huge hit and my cousin had the steak and shrimp dinner and greatly enjoyed it. Last week my sister had the crab stuffed shrimp and said she would definitely go back for that choice again. The desserts are delightful and must be tried, even if you have to bring them home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their food and wait staff.More
Went to the Colony Restaurant with friends on a Saturday at 4:30 p.m. No problem that we did not have a reservation. It was going to be a busy evening so we were lucky to be seated immediately. Our waitress was super nice. I had...the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I might add it was loaded with chicken. Portions were very generous indeed. Fresh salad and home baked bread were served also. My friends and I shared Limencello cake and it was delish! I would recommend the Colony. I might add that the prices are a bit high but we felt the meal was worth the price. The menu had a great variety of meals also.More
