Best gluten free baked goods around and they ship! Dog friendly on the porch. Delightful pies and homemade soups. Breakfast anytime. Been eating here for 50 years and only gets better! Great soft serve and yogurt too.

They were busy but had everything on the menu. Food was enjoyable and menu was fairly extensive. Waitresses took time to engage with the young children we were traveling. Went back next morning, so that says it all.
We stopped at this little restaurant in our way to Lake Placid and found the food delicious and plentiful! Topping off our lunch was a slice of homemade apple pie and coffee☺️. The Adirondack Mountains hold many secret places and this delightful cafe is one of them!☕️
Well, an alright place to get a quick bite or a pie or ice cream that they are known for, but stick to the basics like Grilled cheese or Club sandwiches...fine-dining this is not....Gravy on roast beef was cold and side of veggies were just thawed with a touch of freezer burn... but a cosy diner none the less and... My husband and I have been here a half dozen times and each time it's very good. The homemade bread is amazing and the breakfast and lunch choices are reasonable and well prepared. We've almost always had friendly and quick service- at times they're very busy so you need to exercise patience. It's definitely worth a stop on your way... More
We went for a diner breakfast and had eggs, toast and bacon. Very mediocre and small serving for the price. The coffee shop across the street looks much more promising for an interesting breakfast at the same price - and it has wonderful coffee. Service was slow, but friendly.
This restaurant has a very extensive gluten-free menu. Daily they have special gluten-free pies. They also have them frozen to-go. I had the regular "Very Berry" pie. EXCELLENT. Patti waited on us. Great service and a very pleasant smile.
Tables sat dirty for the hour we were here 😳 the people next to us left (it is a seat yourself restaurant) the waitress never even went over to them. It took us 10 min to get our drinks. Over 45 for our food. It was typical diner food. Disappointed for this being related #1 on here
On our way to and from Lake Placid, we often stop here for lunch or breakfast. The staff are all local and are such fun! The food is always tasty, really great comfort food! The baked goods are so tasty! Price are very fair!
