Ordered the ribs. They were delicious. Mac and cheese was also great. Look forward to going back soon.

I've been to Hickory dozens of times, as I am a hiker working on the 3500 list and some of my fellow hikers and I stop here after almost every hike we do. It's affordable, great location on Rt 28, great beer selection, great food and great specials. On a couple occasions they had a special that was a Chicken... More
My boyfriend and I took an impromptu trip up to the cat skills for weekend skiing and didn't put much thought into what food will eat during our stay. Since we come from Jersey and can be very particular about restaurants and good food, we were hesitant about what to expect in the mountains. However, we came across this restaurant... More
We took my father in law there for his birthday. He got the ribs, which he adores. However, the ribs at this place are kind of like shoe leather, though shoe leather is tastier. I had fried shrimp. OMG. Disgusting. We took some pulled pork home, and my dog turned up his nose at it. If you want Bar B... More
No one can complain about the great food served here. Love it and have been there for very long. Simple, wonderful food for a local place or take-out to NYC. Lovely people take care of you!
We frequently travel along Route 28 on the way to our place in the Catskills, and Hickory BBQ is a favorite place to stop for lunch or dinner. Great, fast, friendly service, amazing side dishes (try the mac and cheese or the collared greens with pork), and of course the BBQ is justifiably famous - all of it is good... More
Ordered the pull pork sandwich with potatoe salad, but was served fried (German) potatoes according to server. Food was good, but nothing to write home about.
Our group of 8 stopped here after a long ride from CT. They made a spot for us on the side deck in the shade and service was prompt (thanks Jordan!). The mother of the owner was there and she was quite a hoot. It seems like a comfortable and informal place for locals and travelers alike. Prices and portions... More
Service was good and food was very good. Had the chopped salad which was pletiful and tasty and a half rack St. Louis style ribs and they were excellent. I did not care for their baked beans or their mac n cheese. Nothing wrong with them; just not my taste. Delicious cornbread and cole slaw. I had lemon sorbet for... More
