We had the mini meze platter as starter and the queen prawns and shawarma as main course. It was really delicious ;) and you have a nice view over second beach. The place looks cosy and well organised. The personnel is very kind as well. We really recommend this place.

Having visited Port St Johns for the first time in December, my other half and I were keen to see what the local restaurants had to offer. We ventured out of our riverside lodge and through the town with The Delicious Monster (TDM) as our destination. Whilst the town is accessible by any vehicle, I would suggest a 4x4, SUV... More

We had breakfast at Delicious Monster on the way to the exotic silaka beach. The Bacon egg and cheese toasties were very good. But add their unique homemade sweet chilli sauce and you have the best sarmies ever!! We bought 2 jars and will try to figure out the secret ingredients... or maybe we'll just come back for more!!

Great hidden gem with wonderful sea views! Don't be discouraged by the gravel road, it's worth it. The only place in PSJ where we could find fresh fish, in a backpackers setting with a wonderful atmosphere!

Lamb shwarma - tasty but lamb a little tough. Monster burgers- Burger meat not 100% pure meat (hopefully the other stuff was just soya!) Prawns - average. Backpackers style restaurant with reasonable service and good views.

A lovely, quirky restaurant, with an amazing view. We had lunch there, watched the dolphins and chilaxed.

We went as a group and had a very nice time. The service was very friendly and the food, great. After a few bottles of wine we went outdoors to drum on bongos around the bonfire. Delightful!
