The food was okay, but not spectacular. We ate here the first day, as it was close by lodge on the beach and Delicious Monster was closed. Personnel was kind!

This place is what Port St Johns is all about - great view, right on the beach, wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with African music playing and the staff chatting to each other and laughing away. The food was nice too - I had a big t-bone steak with chips, but there is seafood available too. It doesn't get any fresher than... More

The Wood n Spoon is a simple little restaurant on the South side of second beach. The food is good but can take a very long time to get to the table. If you are in a relaxed mood and have time to spare then it makes for a pleasant experience.

We spend a lot of time at a river near psj so often go in to get supplies. We have lunched at most of the restaurants but somehow missed this one. As already reported its rustic but it has a really nice view, staff were friendly and good. We all had good food and a great time. Very pleasant and... More

This is according to some locals the best spot in Port st John's...I was impressed. Seafood Currie was brilliant, Bream was just as good. The vegies was very good. Basic but very nice. First stop if we are back in Port st John's

The crayfish was delicious, served with nice rice. Vegetables were overlooked so better ask for a salad. Set in a little shack with food being cooked from a caravan, you wouldn't think to stop, but it's the nicest place we've been to in PSJ. Great view too.
