La Guli has been in Astoria for decades, and if you are looking for a traditional Italian pastry experience, there is nowhere better. Their cookies and different sizes and styles of Cannolis, their layer and chocolate cakes, their Sfogliatelle and other Italian pastries are prepared old-style, with care and real first-class ingredients. Recommend to anyone with a need to fill... More

La Guli's pastries have been a delicious part of my family's holiday dinners for as long as I can remember. I love the tradition - I hope they never close!

This place is wonderful! We just moved to Astoria and discovered this little Italian pastry shop down the street... I can't decide if this is a good or bad thing - I'm probably going to gain weight, but at least I'll be fat and happy! I was overwhelmed by all the choices of cookies, pastries, and desserts. I stuck with... More

This is the last bakery shop I know of that still uses string (from holders hanging down like chandeliers) to tie their boxes closed. It's been there for so long, and that history is evident in how their pastries are made and how they taste. The rainbow cookies are moist and delicious, the marzipan are miniature works of art with... More

Visited the pastry shop on a Saturday afternoon for an afternoon treat- after a recommendation from a family friend. Couldn't have had a better experience! Ordered the tiramisu, cannoli, and linzer heart cookies to share- everything was absolutely delicious! This pastry shop couldn't be cuter!

LaGuli has been around for many years and will continue to do so! The cakes, pastry and cookies are wonderful. You can't go wrong with anything you select. Their Cheesecakes are delicious. The Italian ice and gelato in spring and summer wonderful. The miniature pastries, the best. Try anything, you won't be disappointed!
