We used Trip Advisor to find this bar/restaurant. Also used the "reserve" bar to make our reservation... very handy as we were 15 minutes away. The atmosphere is nice. TV screens in the main dining and bar area. And louder music. It is quieter in the side room. We asked for a taste of the 2013 Backbone Motto Cabernat Sauvignon... More

The service is very good it's a bar and restaurant the restaurant has plenty of seating and the menu is moderately priced the bar can get crowded but the service was very good the manager was very attentive to our needs when we sat to eat. We only had appetizers and drinks the food was average but the atmosphere was... More

Haven't been to the Saint James in a few years. Decided one evening to drop in. Much to my surprise the bar was hopping and the restaurant was fairly full. We had the fish and chips and shepherd's pie. Nothing over the top great, but for a nice, simple and uncomplicated dining experience, it was worth it. Parking has gotten... More

We went here on a quiet Sunday and having researched the menu already knew we wanted Shepherds Pie and the Pot Roast Neither disappointed. The pie was like your mother's the pot roast meat almost fell away with a spoon. Service was slightly brusque and the restaurant a tad cold - but the food was brilliant Recommended

Very good atmosphere, service and food. The vibe in the place is very up. Bar is always hoping. Burgers are really good among other great items on menu. You'll truly walk out content and happy.

We made a visit to The St. James Restaurant yesterday because I saw they had a varied, home style menu. Unfortunately, the help was lacking wait staff (supposedly because it was Labor Day). I must say my pot roast dinner served with red cabbage and potato pancakes was absolutely delicious! The pot roast was fork tender and the gravy was... More

Sat at the bar to a friendly bartender, Dennis. His recommendations help us pick out our dinner and appetizer. The spinach dip was very good. The draft we had was cold and we very much liked the local choice. We had a burger which was excellent, and a chop steak dinner which my guest liked very much. Price was reasonable.... More

We had reservations on a Saturday night, and the place was crowded, but not full. They let us change tables right at the start. The wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive. The best part was that they let us linger after dinner. That was priceless. Ok. Now the food. I had the Irish Whiskey burger, that was fabulous. My... More
