We love the Bear, and always eat at the bar to join the party there. Friendly and interesting mix of regulars and newcomers. The food is wonderful, so much better under the new management.

My worst dining experience ever. I don't say that lightly. And moreover I wish I was joking. I went to Bear Cafe for a meal with my wife and daughter. We attempted to make a reservation via the phone but to no avail as they...More

Ate here with my wife and 21-month old son. A fairly formal setting. Pluses are friendliness, food, effort and (for us) the live music was great. On the minus side, the restaurant forgot one of our dishes (which we didn't raise as an issue). Overall,...More

Located about a mile just outside of Woodstock, this restaurant excelled on every important point! As soon as you entered, you were greeted by a guitarist playing good music. Hostess Karen added a nice personal touch as we chatted before being escorted to our table....More

The salmon was fine. The burger had big chunks of chewy fat throughout which was uncomfortable to eat. The chef determines how much salt & pepper a customer should have - every person has a different palate, I want to have access to salt &...More
