Decided to try Fon Banana with friends via a Thomson excursion, hearing that the Lobster was 'to die for'. Well the next day, I thought I was dying. On arrival we were given a liqueur, followed by olives etc. and the chosen starters, which were very nice. Then we waited and waited, but no sign of the main course, by... More

We visited here as part of a Thomsons excursion. Food and wine are amazing as was the location, we went to their new restaurant at the other one had been destroyed in the hurricane. The only negative I would give would be that we were expecting a romantic meal with a table for two only to find when we got... More

We did the Fon Babana experience on an organised trip from the RIu Karamboa hotel in in Boa Vista. The transport was by mini bus along many unmarked dusty roads but this made the trip more fun. After about 45 minutes to an hour you ended in in a little village at the Fon Banana Restaurant. It was quite a... More

Only a small restaurant and you have a choice of goat or lobster. You have a 3 course meal, and we had lobster as main which was delicious. While you are eating some of the locals sing and play music. After your meal the staff join in with dancing and get everyone up and then do the balancing of baskets... More

Stopped here whilst on an excursion. Staff pleasant enough. Only had drinks but were joined by some impromptu musicians which helped pass the time. On the edge of a small village, no views, nowhere to walk to, no non smoking area. On the basis of this we did not book the evening meal.

We stopped by this restaurant while on an excursion with Thompson's. Unfortunately we only had time for a cold drink but the staff seemed friendly and they handed out flyers about their Capeverdian Night. The Lobster Menu is 45 euros, Fish Menu 40 euros, Goat 35 and Chicken 35 euros. When we go back this looks like a definite.

Had a great evening here, food was amazing, couldn't do enough for you. So much food we couldn't eat it all and they came over to us worrying that we didn't like it and offerd to change it to something else.it was delicious but to much. They have great local entertainment and get everybody up dancing too. Really enjoyed our... More

Love this restaurant! We booked in as a result of stopping there during a quad biking visit with Mr Henderson. The menu's available are resonably priced but based on our lobster were great quality! Our meal price included transport to and from the hotel, 3 course meal, live music and singing, and dancing! We even got a go at dancing... More
