Romantic and unpretentious

Beautiful location and friendly service. Out hotel recommended it over the other three restaurants there and we are glad we followed their suggestion. We had a great experience. The fried feta, octopus and fresh grilled fish were all excellent. And the view from the outside...table of the bay and Oia above are fantastic. 👏🏻👏🏻More

Nice view, poor food

We visited today and left disappointed. The positives; the location speaks for itself, beautiful and lovely watching the boats come and go. The wine and salad was nice. The negatives; the seafood salad looked nice but didn’t taste great. The mussels were cold, over cooked...and the size of raisins. Truly awful: the worst I’ve ever had. The salad was drowned in vinegarette. The fries we’re stone cold! I mentioned this to the waitress who looked blank & really didn’t care: she just apologised quickly and asked for full payment. It was very busy & just wanted to rush people in and out. I would only recommend for a drink. She offered no money off or replacement mussels. If I was at home I would have escalated and refused to pay.More

Fab location for romantic meal and swim!

We hired a quad and visited Oia for a day. We found the town very busy so escaped down to the water! It’s a long, steep walk but worth the effort. We had taken our swimming stuff so found the little cove around the corner...from ammoudi and spent the afternoon chilling and swimming. There isn’t a beach - as marked on the map - and the rocks are sharp but a nice spot. There are 3 restaurants at the bottom and we stopped here as cold get a front row table (pre-booking for any is recommended). You could select your own fish and it was cooked to perfection. Delicious! It’s also a fab spot to watch the sunset but be warned it is also where all the sunset cruises watch it from too so your view may get blocked!!! We found st he funny side but we were there for a week…More

Great spot

Great restaurant located right on the water. You may get splashed as the sea kicks up. The food was fresh and delicious. Great spot to watch the sunset. Beware they charge a minimum to watch the sunset.

Unbelievable. Best meal I’ve ever had!!

Hands down THE best seafood I have ever eaten. We ordered a number of appetisers and every single one was phenomenal. I’ve eaten a fair bit of seafood and this was easily the freshest and tastiest. They somehow managed to honour the true flavour of...the seafood whilst accompanying it with flavours that just work. Staff were attentive and even helped serve our meals. Incredible and would return to Oia just to eat here again!More

The only restauranto visit in ammoudi!

The most beautiful view in ammoudi! Food is excellent and the owners such nice people.clients are valued here and the service is great.

Very honest

The food Is fresh and has taste. The lady who served us was professional and warm! Everything came quickly drinks and food. The beach it is close and amazing. On this taverna you can admire the famous sunsets of Oia Santorini 🤘❤️🌅

Magical Sunset Dinner!

I had dinner at Dimitris Ammoudi Taverna a few weeks ago. It was by far my favorite dinner in Santorini. The table was right next to the water, listening to the sounds of the ocean, watching to boats come in and looking at the gorgeous...sunset was magical. The Taverna staff were friendly and attentive, the food was fresh and fantastic, and the greek wine was amazing. Don't miss this amazing evening when you are in Santorini. Sublime!

Just sublime. Great view. Great service Excellent value. We chanced upon this little gem after a long hike from Fira and on our way for a move needed dip in the sea. We ordered some local wine, Greek Salad, fries and Octopus. It was all...delicious. We have dined over the Bay at a much more expensive and disappointing restaurant only a few nights before. This place is where it’s at.More

A perfect setting with perfect food!

We booked a table right next to the sea just as the sun was setting - stunning! The fish platter was brilliant. Amazing mussels and octopus! A must if you visit Santorini. We went the night before we came home which was a wonderful end...to the holiday.More

In short, this is the little scam of the summer at 200 € Pour manger vraiment mal dans un restaurant plein à craquer

So there you have it.... We were tricked and really ripped off with a smile 200 euros a night for 2 for a really not very good dinner. When we arrived, the girl told us: "I'll put you at a table in a bad location...where you'll pay 160 euros and I'll put you on the terrace" .... I asked her to repeat it to make sure I'd understood correctly. "That's right," she replies. We order 2 cocktails at 17 euros, which arrive 20 minutes after the entrance... we inform him that we are waiting for our cocktails: he replies: "the bar is upstairs". So what ? You could have served the starters afterwards! Fish 84 euros way overcooked and therefore floury and not good. In short, this is the little scam of the summer at 200 euros.More

Must in Oia

This is for all couples or family that search a serious and reliable feedback. I am from South of Italy so i understood about food, first of all place is fantastic and if you reserve you can easily have first row table, the fried kalamari...(16€) were good 8/10, the linguine with seafood (30€) were not bad 7/10( good quality of fish but bad quality of pasta) , finally good pitas and salads. Service was good. I think is a must, better at lunch then dinner if you are couple and have to go to fira, the road is dangerous during the night. In ammudi bay there are other places, i suggest this as could be more affordable for young couple and have the best position in the bay.More

Seafood and Views

Went to Dimitris for dinner on our honeymoon. We were able to get a reservation last minute and they seated us first row on the water. The views were spectacular to watch the sunset and all of the boats from the cruises. We got some...starters and the calamari was very overcooked and tough. For dinner, we got the red snapper and it was perfect, very well cooked and simple. In all, the food was okay and the views spectacular. Be prepared to walk back up the steps after a big meal.More

Are you staying at a hotel on Santorini? I have found the local hotels are very helpful in getting dinner reservations. I would request a table near the water and get there in time for sunset.
