The Lanzi family consistently provide very good, plentiful fare at any of their establishments. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating. We ordered a delicious French dip and turkey wrap which the kitchen staff kindly split for us. The roast beef was very tender, and...the au jus was very good, and not overly salty which is usually the case. The wrap was chock full of turkey. We were seated at a nice booth which provided a partial view of the lake. Many people were out on the deck enjoying good food and pleasant weather. We will go back again to get this good food!!!More

We were staying at a nearby B&B (Inn at the bridge - which we would highly recommend) and our hosts recommended this pub for a decent evening meal. It was a lovely sunny evening and so we sat outside and watched people enjoying themselves on...the lake and on the small beach which is next to the pub. The service excellent & the food was very tasty, we would recommend you visit this pub if your in the areaMore

My first trip to Sacandaga and very disappointed with my frozen fish dinner...and I am talking frozen boxed battered fish...shaped and formed and too crunchy...very little fish inside and served with coleslaw and fries....for $14.99! Do not order this! I don’t expect fresh fish from...the lake obviously but they can do better ☹️ There was a review similar to mine in 2016 and they are STILL serving the same Gorton product.More

I was a customer on June 25 and witnessed the manager, his name is Giacamo using the "F word" numerous times towards one of the employees. Definitely not a family restaurant. There was a table with elderly women that watched in horror at his filthy...mouth."F bombs" being used towards an employee, totally unacceptable! Absolutely would not recommend. Better atmosphere at I-Go-Inn.More

We had great burgers and fries and a view of the lake! Nice and quiet in the winter! Good service and nice selection on the menu.

We had driven from CP just to get out of town for a few hours. We were not on the beach, but wanted to sit outside. We were about to be seated at a table with an umbrella (last table with an umbrella!), instead two...very inconsiderate/drunk women decided to snag the table; both wearing wet bathing suits! We were in fine clothes and I had my hair and make up done, so we melted under the sun. Wish the hostess spoke up and told those women to sit elsewhere. Service was okay, once the food was delivered, we asked for ketchup; never received it after 15 mins, snagged it off another table. Server never checked on us, so I would not have gotten my ketchup. She dropped off the check and never returned, we had to go inside to pay at the bar. VERY ODD considering we have a decent size check. Basically, she took order, dropped food, drinks and checked. Never said thank you or good bye. I served for 15 years and realize that thank you goes a long way! Food was just okay, clams and shrimp cocktail were good (shrimp is frozen though), had the island chicken, took most of the cheese off and didn't eat the roll; it was way too greasy. My bf got the crab cake BLT and the greasy roll didn't bother him at all. Neither did my greasy fries. I enjoyed his yummy chips and pickle. Ambiance was a lot of drunk people speaking loudly and swearing. One guy was hawking up spit next to the tables on the beach while we ate. This place would be great if they had structure; definitely won't be back and will not recommend. Very disappointing.More

Is it a health code violation in the state of NY to allow a large snake (python or boa?) to accompany it's owner during dinner in a restaurant? This happened to us at the Sport Island Pub tonight. Fortunately we were paying our tab as...the snake entered, but a table near us had just ordered their food when the snake entered. The party took their food to go as they were not interested in eating in the zoo. We will NEVER go there again even though on past visits their food has been very good. The people that left spoke to the owner about the snake and the owner shrugged his shoulders and indicated there was nothing he could do. I am thinking about calling the health department myself.More

We dined here twice on our family vacation. The menu isn't huge and the food wasn't outstanding but the deck seating was great and the service was good too.

We stopped in at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday in the height of the summer season and it was almost empty. Loved the crab cake blt and the italian/honey chix wings. Nice selection of beer etc...it is a bar after all. Service fast and friendly...with nice view of the Sacandaga.More

Great spot across from the town of Northville on Great Sacandaga. It's close to the bridge. Typical sports bar food and tv situation, but it has a great outdoor deck! You can also get here by boat so that's a great option!

We did not realize we came to eat on a day where people came for breakfast and stayed to drink all day long. Pierce was our waiter and did a nice job. My seafood croissant was excellent. There were a lot of people who had...been drinking a lot and yelling to be heard. Not a pleasant atmosphere.More

They have good breadsticks and pretty alright food. They just take a while and they messed up some of our orders (like asking for pepper jack and getting American or asking for cole slaw and then forgetting it) the crab cake blt was also rather...soggy and so was the pulled pork sandwich. It’s clean and fine if you need somewhere to go but they are not quick and the service is not great.More

Stopped here for lunch via boat. There’s someone down on the dock to help tie up your boat which is nice. We were seated right away on the patio and our drink order was taken quickly. For an appetizer we ordered mozzarella sticks and when...they came they looked good but had a weird taste and texture. The cheese had the consistency of spray foam not melted mozzarella. The sauce was watery and bitter. My husband’s burger was so-so but my chicken cordon bleu sandwich was HORRIBLE. For one the bread was so soggy it was practically disintegrated. Second (and the worst part) is the chicken was like RUBBER and like it had been frozen and then microwaved. The entire sandwich was awful and tasteless. Also I asked for fries but got potato chips instead. With all the choices of eateries on the lake I will definitely be going someplace else next time. Highly disappointed.More

Sport Island Pub captures the ambiance of lakeside, mountain living. Friendly, pub environment with great views and bartenders. Recommend the popcorn, calamari, seasonal salad and chicken tortellini Caesar salad. Can't go wrong.
