This does seem like a gem of a restaurant in the middle of no where. The outside doesn't look fancy, but the linen table clothes give it a fancier feel inside. While we did wear jeans, we didn't feel underdressed, but I could see how some people may. The service was just ok. We noticed the olive oil dispenser on... More

Sleepy little town in the summer, but it sure came alive in here during the evening! Live music was just great and all the guests enjoyed it! The guests ranged from 20 something to 80 year olds, which makes a nice dynamic. Their martinis were so yummy, their own specialty drinks, and the food.... Fantastic appetizers: we got two: mushrooms... More

My wife and I have waited for years to try TOT, we finally made it for our combo 35th anniversary and my 64th birthday (same day so I wouldn't forget my anniversary.). We have always heard about the caliber of the chef and her kitchen and the ambiance of this small Adirondack gem. Unfortunately, every restaurant has a bad night.... More

this is your 'off the beaten path' stop for sure - in the tiny hamlet of Olmsteadville there's this world class restaurant! Lots of great specials, the menu focuses on local and fresh fare. Owner Mark will treat you very well (ask for a Mark-tini or the new Hootini :-) This world traveled restauranteur has brought greatness to the Adirondacks.... More

The food at owl is delicious and even the biggest food snob would approve of the taste and quality the only issue we had was the speed of service. But we had a fun group and enjoyed the company so it wasn't too bad. Just be prepared for a relaxing delicious meal . The Food is worth the wait .

We lost the only exceptional cuisine in this part of the Adirondacks when the original owners sold this place back around 2012. In its current incarnation, the 'ripe' tomatoes in a salad are hard and sour, a bottle of chilled wine is plunked on the table without an ice bucket, and a key lime pie is drowned in an excess... We actually came here two nights in a row, as we were staying about 50 paces away at a local B&B in the area. The 1st evening we sat in the main dining room, which in itself was very nice and pleasant. The service was friendly and efficient and the dishes were I'd say "pretty good". The following evening we... More

Four of us visited the Owl on June 28 as it was a special place to go in the past. This time we were greatly disappointed first off we were given bread with special spreads which were very nice. We got some drinks which came out after a few mistakes but were good after the waitress ended up making them... More

Mark Nazigian, the owner of the Owl has done an amazing job creating a calm and beautiful restaurant, especially the screened-in porch. The food is amazing!! The Owl is our anniversary dinner destination year after year!
