We were on our way back to NJ from the Shawagunks Mountains on a Sunday night and were looking for a quick bite to eat, but not fast food. We wanted to avoid the traffic on the NY thruway, so we took the back roads...home. We saw this small place, which seemed in the middle of nowhere, so we stopped to take a chance. I think the sign said something about a pub or a bar and expected it to be noisy. We were pleasantly surprised there were only a few people sitting quietly at the bar. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant section, so we took a seat at a bar table. The menu was handwritten with typical Mexican fare: burritos, tacos, etc. I got the chicken quesadilla and my husband got the beef burrito. Accustomed to lots of cheese and meat with the quesadilla, I was pleasantly surprised to find it had tomato sauce in it and was really tasty. Our food was supposed to come with rice, but they were out of it, so they compensated it with homemade guacamole. The beef burrito had just beef and would have been better with beans and maybe some cheese. The wait was a bit long, but it was well worth it.More
