I went for restaurant week. There wasn't a bad selection on the menu. Good food well prepared. The wine pairings went well with the food. Afterwards we walked around the corner to the wine market.

First time to Tarry Lodge and it was a bonus, it was the last day of Restaurant Week. We went with a group and everyone loved their meals. We were all super surprised by the portions that were served for the Restaurant Week menu. The staff was super attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Great ambiance. Would definitely recommend and... More

The service can be a bit inconsistent but food always good. We have had some obnoxious waiters . Varied menu, lots of choices and we have not had a bad meal.We have gone over 20 times over the last 3 years with friends and family and usually a good experience!

This was a restaurant week dinner that we decided to take advantage of. For starters we had butter squash caponata with ricotta crostini which was an imaginative creation as only Mario could pull off so very well. For mains we had the risotto with yellow foot chanterelles which was off the planet. My friend had the bollito misto with cranberry... More

Food OK but pricey. Very noisy. Must pay for valet parking. Reservations hard to make on weekends. Service OK.

Port Chester has become a Latin food mecca over the past decade, but there's still some Italian restaurants worth going to, most especially Mario Batali's re-make of Tarry Lodge, which I recall from the 1970s mainly for its over-the-top cheese pizzas. That was good in its own way, but Batali's transformation of the menu is at another level entirely. I... More

This was our first visit and we look forward to returning when we travel back to the area. The service staff was extremely well versed on the menu and very attentive. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced as were the craft beers on hand. Service was paced perfectly and the food was outstanding. Save room for desserts, they... More

We were seated on the ground floor not far from the entry door. It's a Mario Batali restaurant so don't ask for any changes to the menu. The kitchen won't do it. But the choices are delicious so you'll find something on the menu you like. The wine we chose was delicious but the Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned my husband... More

We came with the Richardson's on the way back from Hobart. It was a long 6 hour ride home and we wanted something nice. We had a 4 cheese pizza and it was quite good. Perfectly thin. We had the arrugula salad. That was excellent. Dinners were very good. Spilt the Carbonara and bolognaise with Kathy Tom had the linguine... More
