Extensive menu with slightly overpriced prices for the quantity and quality. Convenient location near Marist College and the two local hospitals. Efficient staff.

Palace Diner in Poughkeepsie is near Marist College and a hot spot in the area for good eats. Typical diner food, large portions, and delicious!!! I love diners because of the variety of choices. You can have your choice of breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime of day. Their omelets are big and great, hamburgers cooked ANY way you like, meatloaf... More
Eat here quite frequently as it is local. Typical diner food. Last time we were there we waited almost 30 min. for a hamburger which is not usually the case I have to admit. My husband had an omelette with fruit instead of home fries and the bananas were brown inside, they were so old...not fit to eat! There is... More
It's a busy joint come Sunday morning breakfast but this diners true claim to fame is as the unofficial meeting spot for after hours burgers and bagels with the local student bodies from Marist, Vassar and the Spackenkill area.
On a visit to Hyde Park we came across the Palace Diner. An oasis. 6 of us ate ice cream sodas, Reuben, meat loaf, cheeseburger, and salad. Locusts descended on our food. It was very good and plentiful. Some made it to doggy bags for dinner. Our waitress was fabulous. We loved the decor. Would go back in a heart... More
Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the place was mobbed. Breakfast was good (I had Palladium Omelette and hubby had the Mexican Wrap). We felt bad for the waitress, who was clearly trying to juggle a lot. It was evident she was stressed but she maintained a pleasant demeanor with her customers. Will be back, but not in... More
Have been coming to this diner for the past 11 years and always find something new to try! Really enjoy the tasty breakfast menu- pancakes, waffles and extra-filling omelettes are always a good choice. I recommend the Bruschetta Burger - best bargain on the menu and absolutely delicious! Beef Burger grilled the way you like it, served open-faced on a... More

Our Granddaughter went her favorite Mac & Cheese with a bowl of fresh fruit. My wife had a salad and a grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the Philly cheese and... More
Like most diners, this one doesn't disappoint in terms of quantity, but the quality is equally good. I think the menu is 8 pages long, chock full of all kinds of choices. Sunday breakfast after church was a tradition for us for years and we still love going whenever we can.
Huge menu with selections in every category. Omelets are very good with fresh ingredients. Can't get a bloody Mary before noon :-)
