Went for breakfast. Food was fine (but not distinctive). Service was pleasant but indifferent - dirty utensils, lukewarm coffee. Really no reason that makes me want to go back. If I lived nearby, I'd consider it to be a decent option, but only because there is nothing else there. Your experience may vary - we had heard good word of... More

We checked out this restaurant ahead of time on the web. The menu looked really interesting and the reviews were OK. From the outside it looked pretty funky but you can never tell. The inside was supposed to be "quaint" but on closer inspection, it was just shoddy and, worst of all, DIRTY. Flies and bugs. Restrooms really yucky. There... More

This is a cute diner, decorated in an original way. There are some interesting Asian items on the menu. But you can't really tell what is in the Asian-named items, as the ingredients are not listed, so you need to ask the wait staff. Our lunch was OK. The service was very slow.

I was very pleasantly surprised. A quirky menu with excellent food in an earthy atmosphere. Except for the high sulfur smell in the table water and empty glasses, I highly recommend it.

This remarkable find in the middle of pretty much nowhere is a must stop-and-eat for travelers on The Taconic State Parkway between the NYC area and the Taconics, Berkshires or Rhinebeck-Hudson-Albany Region. In unprepossessing rectangular building and gravel parking lot, with an ugly yellow sign announcing itself, stands one of North America's finest restaurants -- for about the price of... More

Away from the usual spots and worth the ride to get there. A charming building in a rural setting. The menu is beyond comfort food in that there are variations on the familiar items so popular on menus but with much more interest and finesse. They do a great job with using fresh ingredients and supporting local farmers. Always nice... More

Based upon the reviews, we thought it would be a nice place to try. The physical plant is quite adequate - not spectacular, more like an old diner. But that was not the problem(s). First, the flies! Yes, flies all over the place landing on us and the tables. That should have been the omen to get out. The menu... More

Heading back home after a very long road trip, and looking for a quick lunch that wasn't fast food, we stumbled on this small cafe on Route 199 in Milan NY. The interior is quite cozy, with comfortable tables well spaced, and interesting things to look at both in a nook at the end of the dining area and along... More

We were riding by and stopped on a whim. The timing was perfect, as the place was empty at lunch shift end. The food in this simple diner like room was fabulous.
