Great restaurant, generally friendly servers. We really enjoy the authentic Mexican food; cooked well, great flavor. It is expensive but worth it. Location has character.

Have been here three times and each time I enjoyed it more and more. Its my son's favorite restaurant. I had the dish called Mexican Flag and enjoyed it. A friend had a stuffed artichoke which sounded weird but she said it was delicious. This place is in an eclectic area and sometimes parking can be tricky. Only once have... More

Never had a bad meal at Salena's. Stuffed avocado with beans and rice. Wish had fish tacos which looked great also.

I grew up in the west and am familiar with many forms of Mexican cuisine. I certainly would not call what I had, Mexican food. Everything was bland. The highlight of the meal was the freshly made chips - they were great. However the "salsa" that came with them resembled crushed tomatoes from a can - no heat, no seasoning.... More

Boyfriend and I came here for a last minute date night. Alexis was awesome at accommodating our need when I called to make a reservation. Once seated, Erin was prompted and ready for us. Being our first time, we asked her what she recommended. Awesome choices. After ordering , she came over at the right time and wasn't over bearing... More

Went on a Saturday night for dinner with party of 8. FaHour long wait turned into a little longer which is fine but it was fairly early 6pm. the place has always had an over packed bar area with fairly slow service and room to get a drink while you wait. So if there is no room at the bar... More

Delicious authentic Mexican food with amazing margaritas!! I love margaritas but hate when people salt the rim!! I prefer sugar and usually have to specify sugar vs salt, which I do because most people don't even ask if you want/don't want salt. I pleasantly surprised when our waiter asked if I wanted sugar or salt on the rim. Sometimes it's... More

Authentic great food. In a repurposed factory, across from the Memorial Art Gallery and close the the historic Auditorium Theater, surrounded by cool art and other small businesses, Salena's continues to be great. Bright Mexican decor and always good service and speedy food prep. Try the Chicken with Mole~sauce.

I admit to being a Mexican food snob. We tried Salena's about ten years ago and were underwhelmed with the mediocre food and service. I reluctantly agreed to try it again when a group of friends chose Salena's for lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon and the house was pretty busy so our party of 8 had to wait a... More
