Came here 15 years ago when I was in Rochester and delighted to see it is still thriving. Think of a great college coffee shop, with real atmosphere and character, and you will have an image of Java's. Coffee is excellent but they have a very good selection of fresh baked goods from cookies to scones to cupcakes, etc. You... More

Went here before the Amy Grant concert with the RPO and had an organic coffee latte. Really good! The menu looked good even though we already ate. The desserts ...oh my!

We've spent time in Java's on nearly a weekly basis over the years while taking kids to music lessons and classes at Eastman. It's great spot to grab your favorite coffee drink (they have a great variety of drinks, coffees and teas) and hang out. There are always college students, parents, sometimes families with young kids between classes enjoying their... More

Java's coffeehouse on Gibbs Street in Rochester is truly a special place to relax, drink some delicious coffee and teas while people-watching, studying, doing a crossword puzzle, art, chatting with friends, etc.etc. Really good service, awesome artwork inside the spacious seating area, and the coffee is a very high quality. They also will make authentic Turkish coffee, but be ready,... More

They serve the best coffee and tea in Rochester! They also have soup and sandwiches for lunch which are delicious. Large options for vegetarians and outdoor seating. Cool vibe with friendly service.

Why try to beat the traffic after an Eastman performance when you can take a leisurely stroll next door for some coffee and dessert? That's what we always do -- service is always fast and friendly, and the dessert selection is amazing!

Relaxing and funky place to grab a bite and some coffee before an Eastman performance! Got the Oreo mini cake and some orange juice for 7 dollars. Not bad!

I go to Java's to relax, socialize, and absorb. The coffee is spot on, the food is delicious and the treats are amazing! I've sat there feeling awful about my day, and by the end of my stay over my cup of coffee I had the nicest people join me and we had a sensational conversation. I highly, highly, highly... More
