I just "discovered" this place over the summer. I have driven past it for years and decided to give it a try after the market on a saturday morning. I have been back weekly since then. Best bagles. Great cream cheese. So much variety and selection. Not real friendly service, barely even a forced smile. If this changed, I would... More

This neighborhood spot has great baked goods all around and nice selections for lunch too. Try the french toast bagels and apple cinammon scones. Yummy!

Fast service, great bagels, BUT....the most delicious cookies....cranberry....moist and yummy. The are tables and chairs if you wish to eat there. Mostly, they hustle so you can get to work on time.

I love NYC bagels and this is the closest to the City here in Rochester, with great cream cheeses too.

Balsam Bagel in my opinion has the best bagels I have had in the Rochester area. They have a huge variety of cream cheese flavors and great coffee. I also tried a wrap for lunch one day and it was filling and delicious and came with a side as well. YUM!

I have yet to have a bad bagel there! Try the cranberry walnut bagel with key lime cream cheese... Not necessarily something I would think of but it's a delish combo!

If you are craving bagels and the supermarket bagels just aren't cutting it for you, try Balsam Bagel. Delicious! And their soups are wonderful!

I work around the corner and sneak out a couple times each week for lunch. Becky's soup is to die for ranging from meat, to meatless and vegan varieties. Today I had my favorite mushroom and barley (vegan). The bagels are always fresh and the side dishes/sandwiches are enough to please everyone's taste. It is a neighborhood anchor, professionally run... More

Why are theor espresso drinks so GOOD? Maybe because they roast the coffee on the spot with fascinating kind of roaster straight out of history. Maybe it's the owner who is right there. Maybe it's just that everyone clearly loves working there. Maybe it's the beautiful old building.
