You can't help but smile when you enter 204. The furniture and design are happy, hip and welcoming. Jim, who is one of the owners can usually be found up front while Norm is cooking all the earthy delights in the back. Take a seat at the bar and you will make fast friends. The staff and your neighbors will... More

This was our 2nd visit to 204 having eaten there a year ago and we were not disappointed. Everything is made from scratch and as local as it can get. Norm, the chef, clearly has a passion for taste. The offerings are eclectic, kind of like the decor, all of which is excellently curated. Rather than go with a vegetarian... More

This cute, modern restaurant is deceiving. I expected good food but is was over the top superb. I had the Coconut Curry. It was nothing like that which I have ordered many times at Chinese restaurants. It was so much more rich and flavorful. My husband ordered the Bibimbop, a traditional Korean dish. He raved about it! I tried it... More

Excellent somehat eclectic food in a very pleasant setting. Service is very good. Atmosphere is relaxed and appealing. No little children running around, but if there were, the generous table spacing would let one cope. Because the menu is not huge, best to check it out before you come. Adequate wine and beer assortment, but if you're a keen wine... More

If you like fresh, clean flavors, farm to table, and a soupcon of innovation, this will be your spot. Charming little storefront with a surprisingly large and diverse menu. We loved dinner, and went back for superlative breakfast. We would have eaten every single meal there for our weekend stay but we didn't want to look like groupies! I hope... More

We stopped here after a long day in Cooperstown and had a wonderful time. The appetizers were delicious and our entrees were beautifully presented. The staff and management were great. There is something about being asked if everything was fine with your dinner by Management, to me it speaks of their confidence in their product and that they care about... More

When one tires of the Victorian aura of Sharon Springs, one should eat here. The minimalist decor, combined with the excellent food & service, is a most welcomed contrast. SS is fortunate to have such a fine alternative, to compliment the other restaurants in the village.

Amazing food by self taught chef who also runs the adjacent Nash Hotel / perfect caesar salad, asian cold noodles, roast chicken, coconut curry with chicken, roast cod - fresh bread, breakfast - better than most NYC 5 star restaurant - well worth the trip...

I have eaten here countless times, the food is always consistently perfect. I am amazed at the excellence. Probably the very best short ribs (among other dishes) found anywhere in New York State including Manhattan. A destination restaurant.

After a day at the spa next door we tried 204 for dinner and it was great. A very different, but not too different menu, which while not long on options, covered a vast array of food types. And the atmosphere was the most amazing cross of relaxed rural landscape and urban cool, never quite felt anything like it before.... More
