This was a sweet little place near the northern end of Ostega Lake (does not have lake view). There are several tables inside that are painted with sunflowers on them. There are various sunflower decorations and art work throughout the restaurant. We had both breakfast and lunch there and all the food was tasty and made to order in most cases. All the staff were very friendly! It was a nice find for good food at reasonable prices for breakfast and lunch. Try their muffins!!

Wow, was just looking for a place to get coffee. But this sweet little spot was quite a surprise. Breakfast Burrito with sweet potatoes was delish. I wanted to try everything, unique menu combinations. Would have taken away something for lunch but it was too early. Definitely a reason to go back.

My wife and I had been trying all summer to have lunch at The Sunflower Cafe. So today Sunday we went out for a drive and arrived at the Sunflower Cafe around 12:15 p.m. We parked our car and walked into the outdoor seating area and noticed a table full of folks enjoying their food. As we looked for a place to sit the door to the Cafe opened and male employee came out and announced in a loud and rude voice "we're closed". I guess they closed at noon on Sunday. The other patrons all turned their head to look at us as we departed. I guess we won't bother trying to eat here again. In past years we had enjoyed to place. I suggest if you want to eat at this place call first and and see if they are opened.

I am so sorry!!! This is the first time I am seeing this review and I apoligize for what happened to you. That employee had no right to treat you in such a way and since I realize who it was, rest assured that he was not asked to return this year.
If you return to the Cooperstown area, I hope you will give us another try and I will personally make eeverything right.

My wife and I recently visited Cooperstown and stayed in a motel by the lake. We had breakfast at the cafe 2 mornings which was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

This beautiful cafe is a hidden gem! The owner and staff are warm, welcoming and feel like family. The food is locally sourced and superbly delicious! A must to visit!

Went with my sister for a late lunch on a dreary day and we both left very satisfied and in a better mood. We each got a cup the tomato bisque and split a sandwich. There were many other tempting choices but we went for the classics and were glad we did. Will definitely come back for more. They also sell delicious local cheddar cheese.

First time there yesterday, and it won't be the last! Drove from home in New Hartford to meet my sister (from Schenectady) half-way for lunch. The place is charmingly decorated, very clean, friendly owner and waiter, the food amazing and reasonably priced. It doesn't get any better than that! We loved it!

On the way to Baseball Hall of Fame we stopped for breakfast. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Healthy choices for the ones trying to watch their diets. The majority of us settled for a hearty breakfast.

Plenty of Sunflower decor, but not overly done.
Nice variety of menu choices.
Food was delicious !
My cousin was 30 minutes late, but I was made to feel right at home!

Our family of nine ate here when in town for the Glimmerglass Opera. It was wonderful! Coffee is good...so important and they kept it coming because the wait was a little long. But that was fine because the food was soooo good! I had the eggs benedict and hubby had pancakes and thick bacon. Would go back again for sure! It is, of course, locally owned by a real sweet lady. Check it out!

We were coming back from Cooperstown this morning and decided to stop by for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was fresh and delicious. The waitress was very pleasant, and we will definitely be back! We will have to go for the lunch.

Enjoyed having breakfast outside in two recent mornings. Our waitress Sue was very friendly and attentive. A nice little spot away from the crowds. Great food too!

I have been fortunate enough to pop into this cafe whenever I am at the north end of Otsego Lake. From breakfast, to soup, to sandwiches, I have always had a very scrumptious meal. Friendly atmosphere and very clean. Definitely going back! Soon!
